I, personally, think that the higher ups in El Salvador want to make it a legal tender because it would make their corruption even easier.

Agreed.
They have been literally bought by narco gangs so that they could legitimize their underworld transactions. Sooner or later, legitimate governments will move in to crush them.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, authorities seized 5000 PCs, all used for crypto mining purposes. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) disclosed this Monday that Ukrainian law enforcement had cracked down on the largest crypto mining farm to date.

Residents from Kyiv and Vinnytsia had built the enormous underground cryptocurrency mining facility in the former warehouse of JSC Vinnytsiaoblenerho, SBU investigation claims. The perps stole electricity from the local grid, but it is also said that they manipulated the electric meter to hide their energy consumptions.

Typical, really.

Five thousand PC? Wow! What a devastation on our environment to create "hot air" for a useless enterprise based by gangsterism.

The effect on the environment crypto mining has cannot be overstated. Even China seems to be taking notice.

There is the old adage that came about when computers were first introduced: " Garbage in garbage out!"

With the advent of BTC and other cryptos, it has changed a little although the notion is the same: "Hot air in, hot air out!

For better or worse others seem fond of the garbage. Bitcoin's price surged after Amazon posted a job ad about a digital currency and block chain product lead, who will have to monitor how Amazons customers pay. It's baffling that they may be preparing to accept cryptos - most likely Bitcoin - as payments after what happened recently. Talk about not reading the room. Or are they doing the same thing as Elon Musk did, pumping and dumping? I can't even tell anymore.

This will be done again and again making billionaires more billons until they run out of suckers.

Maybe the one difference between a coin and forex trading pair is coin may get impact from a famous person like Elon Musk might possibly to pumping the coin price with one tweet, but in forex, very rare for any person affected to currency.

I mean, it depends on who the person is. If the Fed Chair makes a statement about the USD it would probably be quite affected for a little while.
That said, that's somewhat different from a company saying they are looking for people to facilitate dollar trade.

The only difference between the coin and the forex is that the forex will remain evergreen as it was, coins are still in their infancy and they may take some time to mature.

Part of that maturation is, I think, becoming less prone to going nuts whenever celebrities tweet about them.

Spot trading volumes on the crypto market hit the lowest levels for the year, shrinking by 31,5% in July to roughly 1.9 trillion USD despite several positive developments for the industry including speculations that Amazon.com Inc. might be planning to adopt crypto payments in the near future and a certain level of institutional endorsement for crypto assets in Germany.

Earlier this year the Chinese authorities ordered all banks and payments providers in the country to stop supporting transactions with digital coins a move which followed a complete ban on Bitcoin mining in Sichuan province.

Exchanges are also under increased regulator pressure, and that has a visible effect on the market.

Personally, I think the crypto industry remains incredibly volatile to be taken too seriously.
