Tension Trader System
« on: April 04, 2018, 07:57:59 AM »
Is anyone trading this new EA from the William Morrison group of developers?

Looking pretty good, and is not a scalper like so many of the others on this Forum

Looks indeed good performance, only thing is paying 500usd a year means you will need a big account to make it worthwhile. And it hasnt got a long trackrecord...

Btw my personal opinion, hate the website, what is it with FX that all those websites are build to look like a scam service?  :) Why nobody uses 2 colors, one font type and one size :)

I just dont trust them unfortunately .. I'm sure it will work for a few month after sales before beginning the nosedive
Broker - IC Markets   VPS - Amazon EC2 + CNS

EA:
BS + BFS = not trading them at the moment due to market conditions
Forex Trend Detector - EUR normal and high frequency + GBP (small account MM 0.5% Recovery)
Vol Factor 2 -- EUR MM1.3% + YEN MM1.2% + GBP MM0.9%  (((My Number 1 recommended EA at the moment)))
WS Evo 2 - EUR MM1.2% + GBP MM1.2% + YEN MM1.2% (I do not use WS Asia or Recovery Version)
Forex Diamond - EUR + GBP + YEN (very small account)

(Martingale Trend Strategy - Zone/Parabolic/SuperTrend
 starting lot size 0.01)

News - Thomson Reuters Eikon
Trade Manager - Visual Trading Console for MT4
Trading Rebates - through CashBackFX
VPS - I recommend Amazon EC2 ... but if you qualify get a broker sponsored one as well for scalpers

I suspect she is using a virtual account that looks like a real account. FX Choice supports multiple EAs because of advertising: https://en.myfxchoice.com/trading-services/expert-advisors/

His been behind recent products like Scalp Bitcoin, Fluid Trader, and Signal Steps.

Way too short history on this one, besides being from a questionable source.  And way too expensive without a proven track record.

I also agree about the website.   It's just terrible.  It's hard to read and it's all fluff.  They seem to be good at spending lots of time telling you what it's not.  For crying out loud just say what it is.  :-(

I wouldn't touch it at this point.

I my opinion the problem is not about the logics behind the bots.
It's that once they go in Drawdown, Morrison is abandoning them. I had great fun with Monetizer as a news trader but Morrison is even shutting down license servers once a bot gets abandoned. And also bug fixing is almost not being done. I doubt it's different this time

Unlike scalpers, such bots don't exploit a known market inefficiency - they are merely products of historical curve fitting that can at best last for some time live until the ever-changing market changes enough yet again to completely outdate their strategies. That's why nothing is shared with regards to these strategies in their sales pitches nor could be figured from the way these bots trade.
