Regulators are finally taking some notice - AustraliaASIC has released fresh trading guidelines and requirements for crypto exchange-traded products. These new rules will also apply to similar investment products that can end up being listed as crypto-related instruments on the nations exchanges.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission guidelines give special attention to pricing methodologies, risk management strategies, monitoring standards, admission standards, and crypto custody practices.
I am only surprised that it took them this long to do that.

Look at options at deribit, probability of such outcome is not quite high

It has almost rallied to 70k. I think that is a matter of time and then there will probably be a further move north.

At this point, I hope all skeptics changed their minds and will join the new digital assets and make some profits with us. Yes, there will be another dump and bearish year as many before but crypto is not going anywhere, so prepare for that pullback and join the rollercoaster.

That is an entire market though, not a single company. I don't think that comparison is very fair.

So Australia's largest commercial bank has decided to start offering crypto trading. Commonwealth Bank (CBA), the largest of the four major banks in Australia, will allow its customers to buy and sell crypto currencies on its platform in a revolutionary move, establishing a precedent in the banking sector of the country.
Commonwealth Bank, which along with National Australia Bank, Westpac Banking Corp and Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd dominates the Australian banking sector, said it will partner with the New York- based exchange Gemini Trust Company LLC to offer crypto exchange and custody service through a new feature in its mobile banking CommBank app.
What do you think about this move? Does Australian legislation even allow this?

I think 100k is well and truly out of reach by the end of the year now. By the looks of it, 70k may be too.

I really doubt it could rally with 50k in a month, even though Bitcoin has been known for having sharp, impressive rallies. It just seems too much.

AscendEX, the Singapore- based Crypto Exchange formerly known as BitMax, admitted a hacker attack on one of its hot wallets, which resulted in the theft of some 77 million USD.
Can you imagine if we heard about bank hacks as often as we hear about crypto exchange hacks?

That's the whole idea behind Cryptos; they are developed by the underworld to be able to steal from the gullible. In fact, it has proven the best tool for hackers, to blackmail legitimate businesses around the world from hospitals to manufacturers to individuals. One wonders why cryptos have not been banned outright. I guess the real criminals are in governments because they have turned a blind eye to this, except for China who had banned cryptos outright.

Merry Christmas everyone; and don't risk money on cryptos.

There is too much money in them for a lot of people to ban them. People are greedy by nature, and this here is the result. :(

Agree if humans are greedy by nature, maybe they have a lot of money and then invest crypto for profit, but storing crypto asset on a hot wallet remain vulnerable to risky, so many hackers will look for a gap to hacking, some crypto enthusiast maybe store crypto asset on a hardware wallet for more secure because it is offline wallet.
