I, personally, think that the higher ups in El Salvador want to make it a legal tender because it would make their corruption even easier.

Agreed.
They have been literally bought by narco gangs so that they could legitimize their underworld transactions. Sooner or later, legitimate governments will move in to crush them.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, authorities seized 5000 PCs, all used for crypto mining purposes. The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) disclosed this Monday that Ukrainian law enforcement had cracked down on the largest crypto mining farm to date.

Residents from Kyiv and Vinnytsia had built the enormous underground cryptocurrency mining facility in the former warehouse of JSC Vinnytsiaoblenerho, SBU investigation claims. The perps stole electricity from the local grid, but it is also said that they manipulated the electric meter to hide their energy consumptions.

Typical, really.

Five thousand PC? Wow! What a devastation on our environment to create "hot air" for a useless enterprise based by gangsterism.

The effect on the environment crypto mining has cannot be overstated. Even China seems to be taking notice.

There is the old adage that came about when computers were first introduced: " Garbage in garbage out!"

With the advent of BTC and other cryptos, it has changed a little although the notion is the same: "Hot air in, hot air out!

For better or worse others seem fond of the garbage. Bitcoin's price surged after Amazon posted a job ad about a digital currency and block chain product lead, who will have to monitor how Amazons customers pay. It's baffling that they may be preparing to accept cryptos - most likely Bitcoin - as payments after what happened recently. Talk about not reading the room. Or are they doing the same thing as Elon Musk did, pumping and dumping? I can't even tell anymore.
