Some signals on SignalStart i am following
« on: January 13, 2020, 10:50:39 PM »
Hi,

i am new to signals and copytrades systems. I read a lot here some reviews from some signals but after doing some research i found these signals to be interesting, i will copy the links here. If anyone has some consideration i would be great.

It seems more conservative:
https://www.signalstart.com/analysis/monkeybusiness/44461

More agressive approach:
https://www.signalstart.com/analysis/bwtrend/54160

This seems to be medium risk:

This seems to be medium risk:

The Medium Risk one looks sound. Long track record and with own considerable investment. And trading at 30:1, sensible.

From a chance meeting whilst hiking in Tasmania, I was alerted to this Gold strategy.
https://www.signalstart.com/analysis/forex11/194489

Only a short record and only miniscule funding. But I followed for a month (before compulsory leverage change) and made a nice profit in March/April. Generally a cautious approach but he does marty at times and my new hiking friend had a margin call as a result in early March. He was trading on $100K and hence had 1 to 2 lot sizing so probably too high a risk since the signal provider did not have a margin call (see trade history 1 March and also 13 April for marty trades).

When trading this at 20:1 as per new norm for properly regulated brokers, we need a sizable deposit just to cover the cost of AUD$100 pm (USD$59 plus USD$25) and low risk factor to avoid margin calls. But if he can keep up his good record for a few more months... maybe worth following at low risk.

In the meantime I am now testing myself to see if I can trade Gold manually. Not bad so far except for the two days I got greedy and tried to go for too high a TP.

Greed - the enemy of a good trader.

Not a reasonable choice IMHO,

For one, total negative pips (according to SS currently -437,384.2) which typically indicates Martingale money management. In addition, account start on graph is Nov 8, 2018 but was added to SS over a year later on Dec 9, 2019. Along with the rather large loss in Mar 2020 (13.01%).

I have an SS watch list that I have been tracking since Jun last year, I have seen many signals come and go. If I had to dedicate serious money right now, these would be my choices (in priority order):

The second oldest signal on SS started trading Aug 12, 2015 and added to SS on Nov 21, 2015. Is a grid system but not Martingale. Has extended periods of DD but is very consistent. For some reason SS moved this system to 'rank pending' yesterday but 'rank' is popularity.

Note that I have no relationship/affiliation with SS or any of the above mentioned signals.

OK, so with serious money would you trade these at 30:1, and adjusted risk, or use wealthy/professional status to retain use of 500:1 leverage?

And just curious, Blackwave california is not in your list. Much lower return but looks safer at only 19%DD on MT5, compared to 50% for the other two, and maybe could be more suitable at 30:1?

IMHO, leverage is a bonus, not a critical factor like length of trading history. Admittedly, I don't have a restricted leverage brokerage account.

I had never seen an over five years of live trading history before. I have previously signed up for signals with over a year of live trading history only to have the signal account melt down.

I will add this one to my Watch list (as well as Ordequity). Would be a quiet performer, only 5 trades pm but consistently profitable over 3 years.

Also noticed that Blackwave already has its own Thread on this board.

Am still following this one, waiting to see if he could handle a bad day or whether he would marty himself to a margin call. Finally he has had a losing day and accepted a loss as shown in image. Normally I don't like to see losses, but in this case I think it is a good sign. Better a (retrievable) loss than a margin call. Shows discipline.
