hi rs,

nice to see you are sharing your journey.

i would not have dropped my signal, he seems to be a damm good manual trader. yes he trades news occasionally = after the release but thats what i do as well and is a very valid method.

with evergreen you know the inevitable outcome, it has happened so many times before.

sure hope you run that one very very small risk.

i looked at some of the signals offered = signalstart, and most are traded on very strange never heard before brokers which is kinda strange. evergreen is at least with a good broker. but be very very carefull with that one.

all the best and green pips to ya :)
Hi reinerh,

If you study my changes, you will realize that I have not dropped My Signal Forex. I initially had it running on my smaller Live2 account starting Jul 20 and then on Aug 13 I put the signal on my large Live1 account at 3x risk and then, when the smaller account Live2 was coming up for renewal, I swapped it out for EverGreenFx at 1x risk.

I am also concerned with all the brokers that I have never heard of. My Signal Forex is one of them using NPBFX. I am extra cautious with these.

cheers

ah ok, i thought you dropped him. yes his broker is a weird one as well, which i will never understand.

faking stats till signal goes public comes to mind. i am following several very close now to see if there is anything fishy. i cant find a way to see when they were listed, but this one for example.........................

https://www.signalstart.com/analysis/currencydrive/218014

this one looks suspicious, great gains then falling of. that one i watch closely.

On the SignalStart signal page the alleged account start date is the beginning of the chart, however, the account may have been not listed on SignalStart until recently. Take the signal you mentioned, it's system start date was allegedly  Jan 27, 2021 but it was added to SignalStart on Aug 11, 2021 (you get this on the main signal search page). One of the tricks that is commonly used (and a lot of people complain about) is that a fake trade history is created with a dogey broker and then published to MyFXBook and then to SignalStart (SignalStart is owned by MyFXBook). That signal you mentioned has been added to diyforexskills watchlist (https://donnaforex.com/index.php?topic=22628.30 post #36). I as well put it on my watchlist (http://alpine.future-lab.com/tmp/watchlist.txt) but I am very skeptical especially with the broker Perl Capital Markets.

aha, thanks. good to know, that one can see when it was added to signalstart, because thats key.

as you can see performance dropped of significantly after being published on signalstart. this one in particular raised alarm bells with me before knowing when it was added.

but if signalstart has a history of publishing scam signals that would truly be a shame, because i think there are honest ones as well.

That is exactly it. You have to check and test everything, the good and the bad because it may be either. Fortunately, sometimes we get hints and one of them is the dogey broker. It is true that a reputable broker will not allow a fake trading history. I also wish that we could trust SignalStart to not allow this activity.

Thanks for your kind words,

Although... some would say that I should not be let loose  :o

The 20% capital I gave to the Live2 account was dedicated to very high risk. If it melts down, I loose 20%. So far, it's pay off awesomely. EverGreen so far has returned 35.28% (he says drooling all over the keyboard) since I subscribed Aug 18 (7 trading days inclusive). Things were pretty dicey right after I subscribed up to about Aug 20. Floating DD hit 64% (I get a break with this because I am running 500:1 instead of the provider's 200:1). The provider hit 73% DD on that basket. Things have really calmed down which is good. For a while, I was thinking about installing a defibrillator.

And yes, full tilt, 1x, it's the only way to fly.

At this rate you will soon be driving that Lamborghini across the prairies in the summer; and cruising the Bahamas in that new super yacht during the Canadian winter. The Gulf Stream jet may have to wait a little unless you up the risk a bit more.   :)  Enjoy!

Hi,

Yes, it is automated.

All you questions are answered in post #1 of this thread which always contains the current system status along with the previous status.

Sure,

It's only a tiny piece of a very long adventure/journey:

I am trying to withdraw 50% of my August profit and EverGreenFX is going wild again. 39.3% floating DD. I don't think it would be a wise time to withdraw 20% of current equity.

BTW, MyFXBook is f'u*ked up again. Last update over two days ago. One more reason I don't like MyFXBook.

Yes, I guess the timing of withdrawal will often be an issue with Evergreen. Everything seems so much more sedate with many more opportunities to withdraw and/or adjust risk setting without having to worry about margin call with My Signal Forex. But of course less risk, less reward.

And because of that delay, todays dump in EverGreenFX hit fairly hard. Wiped out all the profit and landed me also digging into my startup capital some $1,347 with a remaining floating DD of almost 13K. Now I have a choice. Take the additional 13K loss and get out or hope for a recovery like last time.

For the time being, I am going to stick it out being the masochistic that I am.

We're both copying the same signal onto the same broker but yesterday you had a 3% loss while I had a 3% gain.

The big difference of course is the size of our respective accounts and our risk multipliers. So just wondering whether the very large lot sizes (up to almost 100 lots sometimes, yesterday 55 lots) on your account may not be optimal for getting in and out of trades especially since these large trades are often only for a few pips. If that is so, would splitting the account be worthwhile? The extra copying costs would be in the noise if say you split two or three ways. Just a thought.
