Title: Best Quotes
Post by: Paul10 on July 19, 2014, 04:46:51 AM
Anybody have any good quotes that have stuck with them throughout life? They can be funny, meaningful, sentimental, whatever it is, I want to hear them!

The one that I have tried to live by the most of my life is "Don't let the little things in life bother you.".

Your perspective shapes you world. What you think you become. The crazy man truly think he is a king and the leaves were his minions, thus he truly is a king.

What you truly believe.....is.

All is one.

I like those quotes as well, they have quite a bit of meaning behind them and can be applied to day to day life.

Given the recent spats we have had on the Forum this year, Confucius might have written:

"Whenever you feel aggrieved or are angry, write your thoughts today, review and rewrite them tomorrow, and only send out the pigeon with the message when you are happy with your final draft."

And for those of us in a marital/couple relationship, it pays to have a few of these coffee mugs displayed prominently throughout the house. I am still searching for the reverse copy of these.

As a Hellene (Greek) myself, I wonder what he (Socrates) was thinking? At least from this statement, he acknowledges his existence; that's a fair start towards wisdom but not always. To exists, does not necesserally lead to wisdom. A good place to start is to:
Love is the ink, wisdom is the message.  ;)

I believe that you need to keep on reading good quotes to gain the extra motivation and inspiration in life. I know that with time, you lose or move away from your objectives with any reason. Good quotes are the best way to keep on determined for attaining the objectives.
