Title: Which broker(s) are you using?
Post by: ehd4fap on May 28, 2009, 10:42:06 AM
I think it's interesting to see which brokers are generally used... if more options are needed, just reply, and it'll be added to the list.

** Moderator Note **

as of 4 Feb 2015, poll was reset, deleted many brokers who are publicly known to be OUT OF BUSINESS
Feel free to suggest additional brokers who are not in the list. Those who wish to vote again of course are invited to.

Also using CMC Markets ("MarketMaker" platform, not MT4 so no EA's).

Although the less said about them, the better...  :-X

Add GoMarkets www.gomarketsaus.com

From their Live chat:
Me: Once I get into a trade do you take the OPPOSITE side of the trade and then execute your position in the interbank system?

Go Markets: no we do not take the opposite side nor do we hunt your stops.

Can you please add ITFX trader (InvestTechFX) to the list.  They are a Canadian NDD broker with fixed spreads (1-4) who continue to allow hedging.  I've been using them for 2 month now and "so far, so good".  Their customer service is top notch.  Apparently, withdrawals are supposed to be very easy and fast, but I haven't tested them on that yet.  I'm continuing to evaluate them.

Thanks.

How have you found their scalping charges? $10 per lot seems like a hell of a lot to pay. Does it eat into your profits or does FAP not get classed as a scalper?

Also, what are the spreads like at the moment?

I voted for FXCM as I have 2 accounts with FXCM UK...

Customer service is GREAT and I have used the referring broker "The Aslan Group" and my startup was only $1,000.00 and I get monthly rebate bonus payments each month thru my Paypal account...

I trade with an MT4 Mini Account with lotsizes of .1 and up as this is the lowest their MT4 platform goes...

I also voted for FXDD as I have 1 account with them...

Customer service is GREAT also, and my startup was around $1,000.00 but I think you can get started with less...

I trade with an MT4 Micro Account with lotsizes of .01 and up so this would be great for people who don't have large equity to start with...

The problem with FXDD tho is you cannot trade certain eas, like Fapturbo as the spreads are too high - but Megadroid works well with FXDD as the currency EUR/USD spreads are reasonable here and I find I can run other eas that run during other times than the Asian market timeframe, regular US market timeframe for me EST...

I also opened a www.forex.com/uk account tho because of better spreads although a variable spread, with a 4-digit broker here and I can also get my monthly rebates through The Aslan Group as referring broker...

And I also opened a MIG account with The Aslan Group also... nice Swiss spreads, more paperwork to open an account and $5,000 minimum to open an account needed here...

Hope this helps some of you,

Colleen ;)

I am using ATC Brokers (ECN). If you could add them to the list, it would be interesting to see how many use them and how successful live trading has been with others. I have been live with them for a little over a month. Trading (using FapTurbo) has been a little slow; not as many trades per session that I expected for being ECN. Support is quite good. They are very available by phone and they respond quickly to emails. Too many technical problems, but they always let you know in advance by both direct email and on your MT4 mail box. They are really good that way. Live chat while trading is available.

I use ITFX and am well satisfied with them.  Their spreads are fixed, but they do charge a $10 commission per full lot (prorated).  They provide good service and send withdrawals via the same route used to fund an account.

I have tried FXDD, Interbank, Alpari US, Alpari UK and FXCBS. Where Fapturbo & Megadroid is concerned, I'm ALL for FXCBS! Their commission is only 0.80 cent per 1 mini lot and they take lots of trades per week. For June 09 alone, this broker picked up 32 FAPT EURCHF trades trading Tue - Fri only.

Alpari UK came second with 26 trades.

I'm also running Euroblaster on Alpari US and UK and surprisingly, Alpari US is picking up more trades than its UK counterpart! So far 100% profit for June 09. I have just opened FXCM and will see how it runs on FAPT and megadroid.

Cheers Roboteers! ;D

Hi all,

Forex newbie here :)

I just installed FAPT and opened a couple of demo accounts with FXCBS & ForexMeta. Ninaforex's last post was very informative.

I wish someone comes up with a spread sheet of various brokers that shows their fees / charges / commissions / swaps (hidden or stated). Other relevant details can also be included.

Any thoughts?

I've found good explanation how to select the right metatrader 4 brokerage firm. I think, this info would be interesting for all forex traders. I use scalping strategies and I had to change a lot of brokers before I found this information. See iticsoftware.com or BJF Trading Group

I think you will find that the spreads were 1.5 and 2.0
Remember it's a 5 digit broker so the last digit is a fraction

Hi all
Have bought Ivybot who recommend as broker either Forex Meta or BasicFx - does anyone have any info on either of these as Ivybot recommends either of these as they are 4 digit brokers - I am currently using AlpariUK.  Have read posts here and see some people are using 5 digit brokers and changing some details but if a 4 digit broker is better....
Thanks

Interbank FX (has some nice add-ons for MT4)  good educational section and seminars
mbcFx
Alma Forex

Anyone have any experience with these brokers?   Please add your comments.

I was interested with GoMarkets but they need notary certification for your document if you are not AU resident. It will cost some money here to got it and I am not interested to pay for what I can have free (most brokers do not ask this)
So Is there any other reputable broker MT4 STP with microlots (0.01)

thanks

In my experience Alpari UK customer service is poor.  They have a certain arrogance and an 'if you dont like it leave' atttitude which is what I did.

Just been told FXCM UK have stopped you doing Expiries for pending orders.  No reason, warning - just greyed out.

The industry is crying out for brokers that really understand customer service.

I am using 'Forex.Com UK' for Robominer and I'm very happy with them.
Their spread on AudNzd pair is ranging from 7 to 12, about normal for non ECN brokers, and their support is excellent.

They run a couple of EAs simultaneous at 25 brokers with the same settings. The results are really surprising and you can see how much your success depends on the broker.

It could be because of latency in VPS. I think you cannot use these results to decide who is better and who is not.
Rule of thumb: Your VPS needs to be close to your broker's servers. Then you get fast quotes, fast updates and such.

I can reply to part of your question.  From my studies over at fapwinner- me personally I would be going with a micro acct at $1k, and if you risk only 5% of your account per trade, then you can potentially take 20 losing trades before you blow out your acct, or thereabouts.

can't comment on withdrawal as I've not tried, but so far mostly things have worked ok for me. Sure you get some slippage, and variable spreads don't work well for scalping, but I'm more inclined to longer trades so doesn't really affect me too much.

Only seen a couple of minor glitches in a year, so for me it's working for the moment :)

Not only did I find the commissions to be rather stiff, but the rollovers will kill you at MB Trading if you carry a position overnight. At least they are regulated, but NFA of course, which is a major drawback.

I have been with Alpari for over 4 years, the only problem I have with them is the spread widening during Asian session, mainly for EURCHF.

Withdrawals have never been a problem, although they have asked me on one occasion 'why' I wanted to make a withdrawal!  The cash comes through quickly too.

Please add BeamFX to the list of brokers.  I am using them plus Go Markets.  BeamFX offer a very good VPS for anyone opening a BeamFX  account, so I was able to close my paid for VPS service.  Their AUD/NZD spreads are too high, so they don't work for Retracer, but they work fine for Primeval and other scalpers.

no commission.  The spreads are very good and it is suitable for FapTurbo and
Megadroid.  You can get 8 to 12 trades per day from Fapturbo scalping.  Made
a lot of money for me.

Hi
I am using Smart Live Markets (http://www.smartlivemarkets.co.uk/)

This is a spreadbetting firm that uses Metatrader  ;D

so I am trading not only forex, but also the Dow Jones (which is good for some short selling ATM)

Besides it is tax free for UK residents at least.
So far no problems with EAs, no requoting, quick service although spreads are okish

hi  Airplus

sounds interesting, I've been looking for a spread-bet firm that uses MT4 so will take a look at that for sure :)

Any other details you can give?
Min lots/trade size, can you open an FX order and part-close, hedge etc?
What EA's are you running?

Is their Forex/CFD really spread-bet, as I see they have spread-bet as a seperate option for demo accounts - so are they acting as broker for FX/CFD rather than spread-bet?

thanks
Dave

been looking further at SmartLive, set up a demo account (lasts 30 days) and can trade down to 0.1 lot. Limited pairs on demo, spreads may be a tad worse than FX brokers, but MT4 works ok with EA's I've tried. Probably better for non-scalper strategies unless you're looking at EU or GU or FTSE100...

T2Win forum has a thread on them, suffering tech problems, outages, price glitches, some requotes, problems with historical data etc. They seem pretty responsive though and are trying to address. They are quite new but FSA regulated (don't take US clients) so hopefully they can get things together (which they seem very keen to do) and become a viable option for some of us. Might take a punt and open a small live account and see what happens...

i think best is to use well known broker houses which are already long time in business. yes, there are always some low spread brokers coming up with offers like "1 pip spread" or no spread at all. but usually they are scams. i trade with alpari uk and i am happy with.

I have only one live account.  This is partly because I put hours and hours of research into a broker that fit my needs after dropping FXCM a while ago.  I actually ended up opening up a number of live accounts as I changed my mind every few hours at one point.  hahaha.

I use GoMarkets.  I like their regulation, their responsiveness and attentiveness and I find that both commercial and custom EAs that I like to play with work well with their feeds.

Thanks

Older tests will be Alpari UK (prior to 2011), but we had to change broker for demo's because Alpari kept turning our accounts off, sometimes even after just a week of testing. I now use FXPro because their demo's don't expire and they don't spontaneously turn off. ForexRealProfit however is on MBTrading.

Hi,
I've been trading with with IBFX (Interbank FX) for the last few years (recently moved from IBFX to IBFX AU), which is a good broker. I also tried FXCM and a few others which are not on the list (less known), such as 4XP (offer lots of instruments) and Solidity Brokers (good for scalping - no minimal stops).
Everyday appears a new broker, I guess the list is endless and it's not easy to tell who's the best...   ???

I put up 10k$ and he promised great returns.

His system stopped working and nothing was gained or lost.

Took out the money, but still have the account with them.

I used to use the following brokers. (Except non-MT4 brokers)

JadeFX    (collapsed due to CEO's crimial. )
TheCollectiveFX  (very good.  Member fee is needed)
   FXDD (Wide spread)
   HotForex  (Slippage)
   FXCBS
   Tadawull
   121 securities
   Seven Invest
   Belarta
   FinFX
   Forex.COM
FXCM     (They kicked me out because of the nationality)
   ODL
   InstaForex   (You know what)
   SynergyFX   (Also You know what)
   Thinkforex (Std)
ATC Brokers  (Very good.  But the backend FXCM kicked me out)

Now I use the following
   Pepperstone RAZOR
   Pepperstone Edge
   AXI trader (ECN pro)
   RVD Markets
   OANDA   (No good for MT4)
IBFXUS   (FIFO rule ,  50 leverage, no hedging)
IBFXAU   (Good execution speed and 400:1 lev but spread is ?)
FXPRIMUS  (Very slow execution, High commision)

I'm interested in.
   ARMADA
   IC Markets
   LMAX

My best choice at this moment is pepperstone but I think ARMADA
will replace the 1st prize soon.

My difinition of best broker consists of the following criteria.
   Fastest Execution speed
   Nallow Spread
   Small Slippage
   Small Commission
   Higher Tick Volume
No playing around ( Real NDD)
Network latency from my VPS in New york, Uk and Tokyo.

Myfxchoice.com is my favorite broker. I`ve heard about it from a friend. When I first looked at the website I didn`t like it too much. A little bit tooooo simple for my taste. But customer support has been available 24 hours for me and to be honest they had to be patient in my case. However one support guy seemed to talk to several people at once so our conversation could have gone much faster I think his english was also not perfect - but all the other support convos were pretty ok and quick. They also seem to know what they are talking about. Bottom Line: Poor webdesign, order execution time very good, support almost perfect and tight spreads. I have decided to stick with myfxchoice.com - hope this helped you.  ;)

Imelda123,
Conguraturations, you made a good choice.
They are really honest.  Your fund is really protected by Turnstone which
I tested my withdrawal and found my fund was sent from Turnstone.
This is true trust funding.

Please let us know about your experience at FXPRIMUS coach.
I did not use the coach because I did not have time.

If you want to extend coaching period, you may pay USD $60 or open another account at FXPRIMUS.

Their execution is very slow and commission is high , but I think they are good because slippage is mimimum.   You will make money if you do day trading assisted by coaches.

Good Luck to you!

Hi!
First post. Im a newbie in forex. And tried 7 Brokers real money.
I gave eyeryone 1100 Euros with same settings with Heiken Ashi and Phoenix.
The results since 01.10.2012 are:

+425 for FinFx (ECN)
+230 for UniversalFX (ECN)
+250 for FXPrimus (ECN)
+240 for Alpari (classic)
+200 for FXPro (classic)
-380 for Pepperstone (RAZR-ECN)
-700 for NordFX (ECN)
NordFX shut down the servers today due to tx probs at appx 1100z so i cant close my USDJPY. Email contacts say. "will be solved quickly". Eyery hour. Fortunally USDJPY improved, i hope i can close the trade on monday with my aim. Then I will pick my money up and shift it to finfx. Horrible scenery when you have a scalper on that account.... ;D

Those EAs are not so sensitive to brokers.
You can choose from any brokers.
Try to find stable and reliable broker.

You can open 3 different brokers and spread your fund then run the 3 EAs.
It will reduce the broker risk.  Also you can compare the performance.

Cheers,  ;D

I was using Go and Axi. (Closing go this month)
Now Axi Pro and Pepper RZR edge
Been with Axi 14 months, Pepper 6 months. These two are one of the only independent brokers (non white label) in Aus. Despite being from NZ I do not like to use my local brokers, regulation here is 'loose as a goose'

Im using GFT Asia. How is GFT? Im still satisfy with it and eur/usd is their best pair. It has a very good customer service and stable feeds during news release. The spread is quite high as compare with other brokers but no commissions.

I scalp micros lots and that is why the price execution still do not have problem but my concern is that in future, I will play standard lots and Im afraid that the price execution would be a problem and im also afraid they would a-book me. Is there anyone use GFT and share their experience?

Thanks

Seems the list aboe doesn't have hotforex, that's a good broker and I'm trading with it. I also appreciate Armanda and IFC Market.

Hi donalduck, Well your Broker is in this list go and check all brokers names once again, and best of luck :)

All the brokers I look at seem to be late opening this morning, unless i'm going crazy. Shouldn't they have opened already? Has there been a daylight savings change?

EDIT: seems I am crazy. Not sure how i got that so wrong.

I don't think Brokers are more beneficial for you. So that is why I am using EAs which provide me robot that is exactly what I need. Robot opens position 24/5 with no time limits. Its also analyses market dynamics without having to take account. It is profitable and entirely automatic.

Even brokers with a lot of knowledge sometimes resorting to robots which are superior when it comes to examining data. Technical analysis is more popular than the fundamental one and this is the area where forex robots feel at home.

I am using now instaforex. Though I am using this broker but I think it is not the best broker. I am using this broker for 1 years. Till now I don't find any scam . But I am fed up on this broker because of its money making policy. It show a great slippage problem, requote problem. Also the spread of major currency pairs are 3 pips which is much larger compare to other good broker. The good things I find about this broker is it allow different types of deposit and withdrawal system, good live support.

JFD brokers
LMAX
Armada
Alpari classic
Alpari PRO
Synergy
FXOPEN AU
Advanced Markets
ATC brokers
FXPIG
FXPrimus
Gomarkets
Divisa Capital
Direct Currency Markets (now defunct)
Rexfo
ICmarkets
ILQ
Thinkforex
vPE WertpapierhandelsBank AG
VantageFX

But right now...I just use Axi, ICM and FXOPEN AU, which I highly recommend by the way. That's why I became an IB for them. Currently trade a semi automated proprietary strategy in all 3 brokers

Title: Re: Which broker(s) are you using?

In forex you can start with anything, even $1.  However to make any kind of real money you should start with much more.  If you only have a few dollars you can use a cent broker like xm.com or tradefort.ws.  If you have more money, maybe $200 or more you can go with a real broker like Global Prime, IC Markets, FX Pig.  Brokers regulated by ASIC are generally the best.

If you are totally new to forex trading I would recommend you open a Demo account at any broker.  Do not risk even $1 of your real money until you can take a demo account and make a profit with it.  If you consistently lose money demo trading then don't even think about putting any of your actual money out there yet.  BTW I have been at this for about 5-6 years now and only in the last year or two have I been consistently profitable.  Trading is NOT easy money!  It takes a lot of learning, analysis, and practice to do this for real.

added, but note how old this poll is, several of these brokers are no longer even in business, like IBFX and FXDD  - I think IBFX at least sold their US customer base to FXCM, and isnt FXDD exiting the US market also? Getting to be slim pickens for US based traders IMO, down to just a few companies.

Have a glance at Hotforex V2 PAMMs. Personally invested in their Pamm under Bihu Capital and Direct Plus, quite appreciable profit, but it is a good target for investors looking for conservative managers, as they are trading micro lot size, with very low risk/profit ratio. Don't say I am looking for gamblers, but instead I prefer to trade myself with bigger lots and more potential profit per trade.

If rodneyp keeps annoying everybody here then I am sure only I* Markets will soon remain in the list. I am sorry that I have 1 account with T***m*** and soon the other account with Syn***yFX (sorry rodneyp for not choosing I* Markets). If I have to have more accounts and also post comments to threads of other brokers that I do not know then unfortunately I have to call it a day. rodneyp, it is nice that you have a full time job here and a clear agenda - to keep the mood in the I* Markets thread positive. The only way you can do this is when you post a lot of comments also to other threads, which, in fact, you are doing. Looking at the amount of comments then this is in fact a full time job for you. By the way, do you really think that clients of FX*ig will feel bad or withdraw when they read your comment that FX*ig is b-booking? I hope it at least makes you feel better.

Actually I dont have a full time job, between trading, sailing, walking my two dogs and reading I often get a chance to post here. I suggest you check the facts regading my posts. I decided to start posting here as it became apparent that there are alot of people in this forum who are new or dont understand how forex and brokers work. Having been in finance for 30 years in the past I see things different to most, something that only comes with experience. No amount of money can buy experience.

Hello "bradlyfx". I will post in threads where I believe I can add value, whether this be in a broker thread or any other, it is actually irrelevant. This is not about challenging anyone "bradleyfx", there are no competitions, it is simply a matter of sharing my knowledge and keeping people informed if I know something that they dont.

The only challenges that I take on these days are down at the yatch club.

I should also mention that your little video is extremely childish and unwarranted.

I'd like to give my 2 cents on this topic as I deeply tested a couple of brokers on real accounts so I will highlight points which are important I think.

1) X-Trade Brokers - I've started FX trading with this broker about 7 years ago.
Pros:
- friendly support in my local language
- XTB Group is financially stable (with activities over Europe, Asia etc.)
- Porsche and other nice competitions so I could enjoy full risk taking ;D (it has nothing to do with real trading of course)

Cons:
- expensive trading costs
- bad execution of trades on real accounts - I've experienced high slippage and latency
- I heard about some dirty practices from their side

2) IC Markets
Pros:
- great execution of trades in the case of low volume
- commission of 6 USD / 1 lot round turn, current EUR/USD average spread 0,35 pips
- fast credit card transfers
- fast account opening

Cons:
- MT4 connectivity issues
- slippage in the case of > 10 lots trades

3) Excel Markets - we all know how they ended

4) Dukascopy
Pros:
- Swiss bank regulation - deposit security
- EUR/USD 0,3 pips spread average, I've got 6 USD / 1 lot round turn commission
- fast credit card transfers

Cons:
- slow account opening as I had to send original signatures to Switzerland
- MT4 bridge only
- I've experienced huge slippage and latency
- I've recieved an email from them that they started offering binary options and they would give me exclusive 100% deposit bonus, so they are not reliable for me anymore

5) Swissquote
Pros:
- Swiss bank regulation - deposit security
- EUR/USD 0,1 - 0,15 pips spread average, I've got 4 USD / 1 lot round turn commission
- professional support in my local language
- credit card transfers

Cons:
- slow account opening as I had to send original signatures to Switzerland
- I have some special Prime Plus account so bid on the charts differ from my real bid/ask quoted as chart's bid come from standard accounts

I think it's interesting to see which brokers are generally used... if more options are needed, just reply, and it'll be added to the list.

We use Sensus Capital as broker as they are licensed in Germany and full ECN broker. It has its own pros and cons of course but since we are managing quite big funds there it was important to us to deal with a good broker.

Spreads/execution/slippage are all one of the best we seen, API trading, etc...

** Moderator Note **
Will also edit reply #1 with this note:

as of 4 Feb 2015, poll was reset, deleted many brokers who are publicly known to be OUT OF BUSINESS
Feel free to suggest additional brokers who are not in the list. Those who wish to vote again of course are invited to.

Fxopen au and fxpig. Both are great. Fxopen au support sucks but fxpig support is great. Fxpig bank wire transfer costs is very expensive.

I use to trade armada and is great too but it change to tickmil and i dk how is the condition now.

Bad experiences brokers are; Axitrader and icm are trustable but they have artificial spread and i left them. Hotforex sucks. Gft has good charts but it has sl hunting. Fxcm, i dun use before but i hear many complaints and dun suit scalping and day/swing trading should not be a problem.

There should be another button to remove "vote"  from the list of brokers because I don't use some of the brokers anymore.
For example, I don't use ICMarkets anymore because they cannot be and should not be trusted.....and I also don't use Pepperstones, Axitrader, FXOpen, and a few more brokers.

why there's only a few vote here. there's lot of listed brokers already, I love the list, mostly popular brokerage use. and there's no silly brokers name which use 'number' as header name of their company.
and there's some guy who really annoy me, for having a brokerage companies been held for over 11 years, and to be honest I never heard thus name before, No Offense :).

Whatever broker you use, if go with a Regulated and Trusted broker, your journey can be Safe and Secure. Not that, only only high leverage or low spread brokers offer good services, You must try some that broker that actually don't steal money from traders balance

Hotforex VPS is much better. Ping difference is about whopping 10 ms from the same location. But yet I use paid VPS as it provides even less ping and faster execution.

Be careful with swap-free accounts. I discover that FBS takes a commission of open trades for every day, it's kind of swap. On swap free account...It's a nonsense a bit.

Not with all brokers.. Remember when I was learning how swap accounts work, I check my broker terms (its Hotforex) and it was said that first week is free then some commission is charged. And you have to also confirm somehow you're a Muslim...

I'm currently trading with the CMTrading broker, and the main reason I started trading with them is because their friendly service and strong regulatory. trading only for 8 months and meanwhile I haven't face any difficulties but traded with Accurate and fast execution with No re-quotes. and since they don't accept eWallets, it takes 2-3 business days to withdraw my profits direct to my bank account.

I have confirmed with the broker that no commission get along since this is limited swap-free, it would be expired in 3-30 days. Maybe FBS has free swap forever so they charge you commisisons.

I've been trading with them for a very long time before my son born (now he is 3yrs old) and my earnings there sometimes helped me to make off living really. Hello members!

I used to be part of the forum and I forgot my details...Now that I'm back in the business I got all these stuff back again.

I've been working with many brokers for the past couple of years and even went with AxiTrader, does anyone knows Axi? I bet you do.. they are popular but not a good experience I had with them.

I was working with a pretty good strategy in Axi, winning everyday... I was on fire!! That last for a few months and suddenly I started loosing and loosing, me and my team review all the strategy, we did backtests and everything was ok, no changes in the strategy or anything like that so... the question was... why I was loosing since I was doing the same??.... But then I someone from their team that doesn't work with them anymore told me that I was in B book (market making) and when they find out that I was winning they put me on A book and I went to real market... I ask them about my type of execution and they told me I was in A book but that was not true, so I got screwed by the slippage that in B book doenst exists.... He told me later that they have to tell all of the clients that they are in real liquidity even if they don't. That's pure market maker!!

So I went to a few more brokers... FXCM, Alpari, etc the experience was not that good but it wasn't bad until I came to this guys from Solidary Markets. This people is really honest they will tell you straight up if you are in A or B book... I'm not fan of the binary options but they are for real and they will tell you that BOs are complete B book and internal execution.

With the accounts that they have, they managethe Top account which the spreads are very low... 0 pips in EURUSD at certains moments... trust me I've been monitoring. WIth other pairs the spread is decent, still very low and now with the possibility to trade some indices. The only think is for people in US, they do not allow  :(  but for the rest of the world there is no problem.

So far, the experience is very good, but I would like to know if someone has some feedback if you guys knows them...

So anyone?

Thanks

Cheers

No, I havenít heard of them DemRum, I believe we should go with brokers that got good market reputation like OctaFX. I have been with them for past 3 years and that too without any trouble at all, so I find settled there and strongly believe we should do proper research when it comes to selection of the broker since thatís what makes all the difference for us and helps us with winning and losing, so thatís why I am so relaxed with things.

Yes you got a valid point but not always is applicable. There are somebrokers that have reputation or they are everywhere like IronFX and brokers like that... even in football teams.

I have notice that the ones that are not making big marketing campaigns sometimes are the best brokers because they are serious business people and serious brokers.

Just my opinion. :)

Francmorio, I believe you got to be more opened with that, I donít think itís so nice and simple with 0 spread, if that was the case than perhaps you could put some light on how that broker survives? Itís obvious they have commission, so in a way you are already paying 1-2 pips through commission, so how thatís for benefit? At least, itís not benefit in my book. Anyway, I trade with OctaFX and they have spread starting from 0.1 pips and there is no commission.

Starting from 0.1 pip without commission? obviously this broker is a market maker having conflict of interest with trader which can not be called "broker" what means "mediator". That's why I trade with brokers which operate under STP model like Hotforex it executes most of CFD contracts with the counterparty (hedge my orders) so doesn't profit from them.

We the traders who are particularly newcomers have to choose in regulated trading brokers which guarantee their clientsí funds. Actually only regulated trading broker make sure security of funds at any deposits with a wide range of trading technologies.

I thought the same as you for many years until I seen a number of brokers not processing clients withdrawals and the regulators doing nothing about it. I'm sure if they wanted to take our money, they would find a way to do so. Regulated or not.

They are honest, sometimes even too muchs and withdrawals are fast too. I'm still open to maybe get another good option but so far for me this works out really good. I've been trading for a couple of years now so I know what to look for in a broker. I try sto stay away from market makers.

I think the very first broker should be there is Solidary Markets. The only one I know that it's really looking to help people and investing in technology in order to provide the best trading conditions, low spreads, fast execution.

They are not spending thousands of dollars in marketing, but in what really matters which what we use, the platform.

Why don't you add Solidary Markets here?

I'm currently using Freshforex but i'm not seeing it in the list. I think FreshForex is one of the fairest brokers out there, with their spreads floating from 0.

It's a Russian scam with some offshore license which fairness are you talking about dude? :D

My FX Broker is not there in your list. I am using Hanseatic Broker.
Before choosing a broker I filter and ignore those offering eye catching bonus. Lower spread is welcome. And My broker of choice must be well regulated. (like FCA, CySEC, EMIR )

I tried using instaforex sometimes back but it was all mess. Constant slippage, requotes, so I had to run away. I later learnt they were no longer regulated!

I donít think there is anything called the best broker. But it depends on how much a good broker is for us. We have to choose the broker which is more apposite to the concept of trading that will be used,

Yeah, according to FPA they are SCAM. You could read the whole story there, it's kind of funny, especially how the representative dealt with the problem :D

In order to my trading experience I think for leading a secure and comfortable trading life with certainly we the traders have to choose regulated trading brokers which guarantee their clients funds.  Actually real regulated trading broker always ensures security of funds at any kinds of investments with a wide range of trading technologies.

FPA is a good place to get actual insights for any broker IMO..!

Before using at any broker it is very much difficult to recommend, because most of them are found to be scams. We have to choose the broker which is more appropriate to the concept of trading that will be used , if you love doing scalping should choose the broker that allows trading concept such as this.

In this market place there are many important things that you have to check to make certain a comfortable trading broker , in order to my trading experience first of all I will be looking for in a broker if they are regulated or not. Actually real regulated trading broker always ensures security of funds at any kinds of trading techniques with a wide range of trading technologies.

Concept of trading? that's too deep thought for me. trading to make a living is all the type of trading I know  ;D

Really, first consideration for anyone should be safety of the funds, and that really boils down to which country you are in.

Logically, the best broker would be nearby and regulated by the government / banking in your own country.

Australia is lucky to have some great brokers and also regulated, as is the UK

I believe that USA residents have many problems to find a broker which is ironic for the greatest country on this planet!!!

I am trading with IMMFX broker for almost last one year. A very good broker. Instant execution. Excellent customer care service. Variety of methods for deposit & withdrawals. I never had any problem with this broker in my whole trading period with them. IMMFX is one of the best broker I've experienced so far. They are transparent and they don't re-quote.

Well they have much better options like trading futures, options or other derivatives with brokers that offer access to exchanges

As far i heard only good reviews about them.
And what can you say about this list of Best Forex brokers (http://trade-leader.com/forex/category/best)?

I split my accounts up for diversification but also to keep testing. This is what I currently use.

Value Trades
Mt.Cook DMA
Mt.Cook ECN
Tradeview Forex

I use value trades for manual trading and hedging. I use mtcook's ECN and DMA for my aglos. I heard of them as a trusted broker from Forex Signals, and they have been awesome. Their two feeds make it easy for me customize for my algos (and their DMA feed is supplied liquidity from Divisa now who are also very good). I also invest in a PAM there. Tradeview forex I trade CFDs there, and also some other EAs on their liquidity connector feed which is great and really tight spreads.

Other brokers I have used are Pepperstone, ICM, Synergy, LMAX, FXCM, ADS, Tickmill, JFD, and LCG. The one to avoid from them all in my experience is LCG.

I have been looking at Europacific bank lately however. I like that you can bank, have debit cards, buy gold, and do everything all under one roof! Its offshore, but they do have an actual bank license (unlike most Saint Vincent and the Grenadines brokers who are not regulated at all), and it is Peter Schiff's bank. Would love to hear some feedback from anyone if they use it.

Wow a very sizable chunk of broker experience providing you've tried their all.
I'd also give a nod to Tickmill, they suited my scalping needs, although in terms of flexibility my #1 is Hotforex. They've tried to develop advanced approach tot trading needs, i.e. singled out main trading styles and strategies and determined which trading features are most called-for for them. You don't need to adapt but platform can adapt under your needs.

Cheers.

ICMarkets WAS good, now their feed during talking heads meeting or NFP is terrible, completely switched to tickmill pro account for news trading.

Ping me when they add their former LPs back  >:(

I am using justforex it is a good broker 3 years trade with.

Probably yes its good for newbies but true colors appear when you start withdrawing substantial amount of profit. Then your trading complicates because of worsening spreads, strange price ticks and stop loss hunting. That's why this industry is so heavily attacked by regulators and media
