Thank you Peter, good answers, and Soulfire I agree, a positive floating equity line is a rare and wonderful thing indeed.
Just needed to hear clarity in why the other tests I saw crashed and burned. The answer seems to be that they are NOT the same system as that shown on the myfxbook.

One further question, Peter -
For those who are subs of the signal service prior to your "going PAMM", will u grandfather existing signal subs and let them continue?
I ask because I personally as a potential sub wouldnt bother if I was just going to have the rug pulled, particularly on a fairly long-term-view signal service.

Thanks. Really amazing performance so far.

I agree with you Ody.

Peter, thanks for your answers here.

If we are to commit to using the signal service it would be good to know we could continue to do this even if it is restricted against new subscribers once the pamm starts. I much prefer using a signal service for a number of reasons.

Also, how long do you plan to offer this trading strategy in general? Does your team have a commitment to continue with this for a certain time period?

This seems nice.
Ambushtrader: Could you also describe your strategy in a little more detail, when is the PAMM going to be active and minimum balance for PAMM

This reminds me Silent Trader, same evolution or very similar.  It's better wait until DD recovery.

r u sure you are talking about ambush trader? Their floting open equity is ABOVE 100%...I will take that all the time. My only concern, and they havent answered back yet, is if they will boot the signal subs when they launch their PAMM, in which case i wouldnt even bother considering them. Others have asked too. Would like an answer.

Hey I watched this happen with 3 or 4 other signal sellers gone ala PAMM.
SIGNALS + PAMM = WHAM!!
The signals are just a sales tool and as soon as the PAMM begins, the signal subs can go scratch thier asses
Been there, done that.

I must be the only one that prefers PAMMs over signals, if available. My main reasoning is that I trade a smaller amount of capital on average per trader. However, even if I had 6-figure account I would still invest in a pamm over a signal for several reasons.:

1. Hands off - deposit money and forget it. Way too easy, no one can say it is harder than setting up the signal.
2. Cost-free during drawdown periods - Aside from trade commissions (which are still usually lower than a regular retail account anyways) you pay nothing while the account is in a drawdown compared to a monthly subscription price.
3. Win-Win - This is probably the most important aspect to me is that if a trader is earning me money, I want them to be rewarded. Earning $100 a month from a 50,000k account when you are earning them, for example, 40-50% a year is far from fair in my opinion. Obviously returns are higher with a small monthly fee and a larger account, but greed is never good.

Cheers,
David

I'm sorry but i was lost too much trying EA's, signals subs, PAMM's that i feeling sick and poor.

I had sworn off PAMMs but this one looks good so far.  Considering it for 2014....we'll see.   8)

hi everyone, we will not boot signal subscribers. We have people who bought a whole year in advance , we will honor these agreements and we don't see a reason to boot SS who supported us from the beginning and helped get the service started.

The problem with signal service is this:

- a lot clients lose money because they use too much leverage and close positions early/try to trade around us
- Too expensive for small accounts
- Does not make sens for large accounts. Imagine 3 traders with 200k in balance and we are only getting a few 100 monthly for managing 600k. It's just a business sense for profitable traders.
- In general paying monthly is a turn off to a lot of traders with 2-5k and i believe it pressures them into want to use more leverage to cover the costs. In a bad month they are at a huge disadvantage and we will have bad months .

for the pamm questions, we don't have a PAMM yet, still trying to pick a broker to start with. Narrowing down to Axi Trader, golbal prime, or FXpig. The Aussie brokers seem to be popular now.

Don't forget to visit our blog http://ambushtrader.com/?page_id=3699 .

Dan did a great interview with Dale Pinkert on fx street . Check it out.
