why i cannot use my old bestscalper anymore?
see my attachment below..

You can use the old set file with the new update, so what's the issue?

Regards,
HumbleTrader

have you ever backtest it? and compare the result? it's different.. i prefer the old one.. ( for old set file )

Backtests are meaningless for BS. Just to be safe, I am running both versions (set files) except I only trade the GBP/USD ;)

Have a look at Newboater's live accounts to see how things are going:

I am very close to just pulling the pin on this.

the reason being from 4 - 4.55 pm NYK spreads are fine but after that like today GBP spread goes to 5-10 points -- making it tough to scrape out alot of cash

plus slippage of 1-5 points on top of that .... money would be better allocated elsewhere it would seem to me.

to be clear - this used to be an ATM printing EA - but no longer.
Broker - IC Markets   VPS - Amazon EC2 + CNS

EA:
Powerflow NZDCAD
PZ Averaging EA
Autotrader Custom

News - Thomson Reuters Eikon
Trade Manager - Visual Trading Console for MT4
Trading Rebates - through CashBackFX
Trade Notification EA - TradeTalk from FX Blue - free
VPS - I recommend Amazon EC2 - if you qualify for a Broker Sponsored one get CNS
PZ Support/Resistance Indicator / Day Trading Indicator

But have a look at Rod's (Nwboater previous, myfxbook) charts, both accounts are doing reasonably well .

I may have missed some trades on one or both of the accounts when I had it off at my VPS. So far the 1k account isn't doing too badly so I just transferred another 1 k into it. I don't plan to increase the smaller account so there will be a comparison of performance vs lot size.

Cheers,
Rod

he is at a different broker and the trades are different to mine.

the main thing is spreads - as I said for an hour they blow out - no-one can scalp spreads that wide.

I made a very small profit so far but do not see a future with it -- trade bigger sizes and see what happens

I agree and the possibility of a full ST, can be scary but for small accounts and carefully managed risk, it can be profitable over the long run.

Just to clarify further, Rod, you are using the same .set files for both accounts?

Same here. We could talk chances if spreads remained what they used to be. Yet after the brokers substantially increased the spreads during this bots trading hours, our chances for success effectively amount to zero by any means.

How do you cope with morning&rollover spreads I mean calibrate fine stop loss distance during spread widening times?

Theres no external market access with this bot. Slippage and spreads are hand-set by brokers through the MT4 Virtual Dealer Plugin. You therefore dont stand a chance of beating them.

I thought these plug-ins were illegal and that brokers have stopped using them. I seem to remember reading that on this forum a while ago.

the DST time is enable in Monday USA, please you guys check the message displayed on MT4 or MT5 charts, it is unnecessary if EA set as auto GMT, you have to ensure and recheck by cacluate again and again, you can email me if you have any question support@bestscalper or bestscalper@hotmail.com

For those of you manually setting the offset and using IC Markets and others that have an offset of 7 hours do not change the time setting for DST! That was the consensus last year  https://donnaforex.com/index.php?topic=12508.msg374964#msg374964  and is how I have done it FWIW.
