Good question, what about other ASIC brokers ?

Are they being forced to do the same ? Is IC Markets really fine or will they later come up with an another email ?

If i'm still trading with IC should i stop and start looking for a another broker ?

There is no reason to leave IC Markets until you have to (should this occur). Other Australian brokers will have contingency plans should proposed new restrictions and regulations become law. Some brokers have already pre-empted this scenario and put alternatives in place.

Didn't we go through this a year ago and nothing became of it? Then IC simply proposed a move to a de-regulated zone which avoided ASIC rules for those wishing to keep 500:1; the only change being that the account holder no longer retained ASIC protection, which I guess for non-Australian clients was pretty limited anyway. By far and away the most important thing with IC markets is that they are a highly solvent, established broker with probably the best reputation and liquidity feeds the business. None of that would change.

Hey Guys thanks for the reply.

I think everything should be fine now, cause i did some search and found that IC has solved it for now but later there might be another email regarding it.

And FP Markets would keep their Existing traders with the same server.

When I go to icm Web it show sc, https://www.icmarkets.com/sc/en/

So this is sc or asic regulation? Of course I would like to go to asic regulated. The regulation page put both sc and asic so I dunno which one they are using for the above Web.

Thanks

Just had a rant at icmarkets re. their demo platforms - major connectivity issues in the last week with their demo 03 and demo 2 accounts across all platforms - cuts out for about an hour with holes in historic data. I can't believe one the industry's biggest brokers can provide such a shoddy service, which is crucial for testing EA's etc before risking on a live account. There response being switch to their webtrader which is useless for EA's! No issues with metaquotes own demo or axitrader - hopefully they will take the feedback on board....

I have moved large sums of money through ICM - you do not have a worry on security

what you may have is a delay processing the deposit or something like that ..... on withdrawal side I get my money same day as request.

You didn't mention how long the delay is (in business weekdays). It's also not clear if you sent them money or are doing a withdrawal.

Cheers,
Rod

What is the least expensive method of depositing and withdrawing money with ICMARKETS?

Mainly I use Credit Card for small payments and it will be instantly deposited to my trading account. For large payments I prefer to use Bank Transfer and I have to pay ban transfer fees for my bank.

Withdrawal within 60 days you can ask them to return to your credit card free of charge. After that you can request a Bank Transfer and it cost AUD 20 for international transfer and I get it in my bank account within 2-4 working days.

PayPal is instant, free and very secure.
