It's time we revisited this EA since March 14th:

From what we can see from my widget below, the Z Trader FX EA is doing quite well; with a profit factor of 90.10, it is an eye-catcher. I have yet to determine its strategy but whatever, we can't deny it's success over this very short timespan. I will expect a deeper analysis form those here who are excellent number crunchers.

What I am not comfortable with, is that trades remain open at all time, thus far, which subjects the EA to the deadly whims of stark news announcements as we will have this day with NFP; interesting to watch and see what will happen.

What's your take Forum members?  ???

I have been running this EA on a BlackBull Markets Pro account (https://www.fxblue.com/users/rsmereka4). First trade opened March 21. Keep in mind that my observations are very preliminary based on very little history.

Background. This EA is running on a CNS VPS (NYC datacentre) with a < 1ms network latency to the broker server which is in the same building.

The performance on my account has, so far, been very lack luster (compared to the vendor reference account). I have been tracking the pip production on my account verses the vendor account and it is completely different. As I write this, there is a 108.5 pip difference between the two accounts (which is an average of 10.9 pip difference per trading day).

The strategy is also a kind of hold-n-pray with hedging which is scary. The peak of the current floating DD (before the open of the hedge trade) saw about 15% floating DD.

Hello, Nick3232.

What is your current "profit" and what is your current outstanding "net profit"? I find that in most cases with this EA, "net profit" - "profit" = "net loss"  .... as per myfxbook.

Humble,

My closed profit is $92.84 and my current floating DD is $112.13 so I think you are correct in your assumption that net profit - profit = net loss although like nick3232 said, it's fairly early.

I am still having performance issues where my account performance is much less (both in pip production and profit in terms of % return) than the vendor account supposedly at the same risk setting.

refund accepted ,no grudge against the ea vendor ,my purpose with the was mainly for btesting,

seems honest

Thank. But you have activated an account for real and demo.
Let it be a gift for you. But as you see. I can not block them. Therefore, I have such return rules described on the website.

Hi,

Just a fellow newbie here in DonnaForex, I accidentally stumbled here and saw the reply of the vendor, I really love this kind of interaction from the vendor itself, it's rare to see this stuff.

I hope I can test the EA soon if I have the chance(probably a couple of months from now).

Good day(or evening) to all members.

No glory. Floating P/L is higher as Closed P/L. Swap killing account.

I am also interested in seeing what happens with the very long-term trades,

I have a couple of trades that date back to just after I started this EA (March 21) and have accumulated lots of negative swap and are, of course, in big negative-pip territory. I have also been experiencing much higher floating DD (up to 35%) than is published in the vendor account.

Yes those high swap trades closed between Jun 5-Jun 10 for a total of a 7.09% equity drop but this account  has more than made up for the difference in the meantime, 8.94% return in Jun and so far 10.87% return in Jul. Check 'rsmereka4' FXBlue account in my signature. This EA has high floating DD (20-40%) but it is averaging ~9% per month.
