InvesttechFX offering 0.5 pips
« on: July 05, 2010, 02:59:09 PM »
InvesttechFX is offering fixed 0.5 pips on six currency pairs:

EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY, USDCAD, and AUDUSD.

I have a small account with them and I just received this message. As I checked on my MT4, it is really 0.5 pips. They also say that they are NDD (No Dealing Desk) and STP.

I still can't trust them for large accounts.

Has anybody withdrawn money from his/her account with this broker?

bad reports all over the internet with them. talked to their live support and they wern't too sure. they've got virtual offices, goverened by canadian claim (but posts on other forums state they are not) etc etc they question you for withdrawl, add hidden extra charges for withdrawl etc. too good to be true with the low spread and 0 commision. stay well clear mate.
Regards, Sharky. Avoid Alpari UK.

I have a small account with them. I get a lot of trades with scalper EAs and they charge 10 dollar per lot for commission. If withdrawing money goes smoothly, I should say I am happy with them.
Besides, I get less trades with 0.5 pip spread charts compared to 1 pip spread charts in backtests.

Avoid this broker at all costs!. This is my story...I opened a demo account and after good results from FabTurbo then opened a live account, I was attracted by the low 1 pip spread and the USD1500 trading bonus if depositing USD10,000. I sent the 10k via paypal and then started trading. To my horror, I started getting really slow transactions, re-quotes, and realised I was charged $10 commission per lot trade. I asked for my money back, and then the nightmare began. I got a load of slow email responses asking why I want to withdraw my money for which I replied the problems above. I then was asked to contact the head 'guy' there to request my money. After nearly 12 emails and calling the guy on the phone which took another nearly 50 attempts the 'guy' eventually agreed to return my money less the bonus. They then had me wait over a week again so I chased up and threaten legal action. At this time, they request a signed general release form, which I submitted, and then several days later, they asked for my photo ID and address, which I also submitted. After sever days I notice my paypal account was still not refunded so I chased again. After this final request I finally got my initial deposit of 10k back. however I did have just over $100 left as profit in my account which InvestTechFX didn't transfer (although was stated in the General Release form). Overall, it too just over a month of constant emailing, calling, stress, etc, to recover my money.
I will not consider this type of broker ever again, and will only look for the 'big' guys like FXCM, Forex.com.

I had an account with 1 pip fix which is a spinnoff of InvesttechFX. In fact, if you have any support or customer service needs, you have to contact InvesttechFX. Anyway, I opened an acount and traded FT with them. It went well even with commissions. I was trading .1 to .14 lots and was charged $1 commission with 1 pip spread. I closed my account just over a week ago and received my funds I deposited with profit minus their bonus. If you read the broker reviews on Forex Peace Army, 1pipfix has a high rating however InvesttechFX does not which puzzels me as they are one in the same.
