Hi,

No, the minimum deposit for the Axi Pro ECN account is $1k AUD or equivalent.

The Axi Pro trading server is in New York.

A London based VPS would not be suitable, at least for HFT.

The 'free' (over 100 lots per month minimum) CNS vps is in New York and ideally suited as it has direct x-connect with Axi server.

I can organise a group deal with Beeks NY vps if this is a preferred option for some members.

Cheers, Jon.

Here is the general link http://www.axitrader.com.au/AxiTraderPro-Account.aspx

Yes, you can get all the general info regarding the Axi Pro ECN account from the website should you wish.

Obviously you need to open an account through the HFT Group link that I will supply early next week to access the offer I have obtained from AxiTrader.

Hi,
I have taken out an IB agreement on behalf of the HFT Group with AxiTrader to obtain this offer.

You will sign up via the HFT Group IB link that I will email to everyone once it has been supplied to me by AxiTrader, hopefully Monday or Tuesday next week.

Cheers, Jon.

hi Jon,

for HFT trading we beside the fast execution ,
we need less slippage and good prize feeds is more important,
i have talk with they customer support
Customer Support #213:30:57
Because we derive our prices straight from the interbank market with no manipulation all accounts may be subject to some slippage over news announcements, which exactly how the interbank market behaves.

Trading over news is volatile for this very reason.

thankyou

Hi,
   You are entirely correct.
As the feed is 'raw' it is subject to the whims of the liquidity providers. Approaching major news announcements liquidity can thin, spreads can increase and slippage can occur due to these reasons.
With a lot of manual and automated trading through EA's these times are to be avoided.

HFT relies on market 'spikes', A great deal of these spikes occur prior to, during and after major news announcements. A broker with deep liquidity provides the least chance of slippage or at the least, minimal slippage.

I have experienced 0 slippage with HFT on one broker and ridiculous slippage on another of over 4 pips. The broker in question reputed to have the lowest spreads around! Low spreads are meaningless if the liquidity is thin and you get slipped a few pips. Due diligence has been performed with the Axi Pro ECN feed. Tight spreads, minimal slippage on HFT trades and deep liquidity are the main reasons this feed has been chosen.

I have received the HFT Group IB link from AxiTrader for the Pro ECN account.

The link, together with all related information, has been emailed to all HFT Group members who registered interest in this group venture and provided a contact name and email address.

These members have my email address so please direct all questions directly to me via email.

Please do not post questions related to signing up here. I can respond far more promptly via direct email.

HFT Group members will soon be benefiting from discounted commissions, while trading with a reputable regulated broker offering competitive tight spreads and deep liquidity.....AxiTrader Pro ECN.

Should you wish to be part of this group venture and enjoy the same benefits please pm me with a contact name and email address.

Good trading to all!  Jon.

Hi,

In answer to your question......

1- It is the AxiTrader Pro ECN account.  This is the only feed Axitrader provide. The standard account is this feed +1pip on the spread. The Pro ECN and Corporate accounts are the same raw feed with no spread mark up. the difference between the two being the commissions charged on each.

2- Your commission cost is $5.50 per full round lot.
The normal commission is $7.00 per full round lot.
Your discount is the difference between the two, $1.50 per full round lot.
The best rebate available elsewhere through an IB is $0.90 per round lot giving an effective commission charge of $6.10 per full round lot.
Effectively we are at least $0.60 per lot better of with this deal if you take into account the best rebate available elsewhere.
Ignoring rebates, you are $1.50 per lot better off than on the normal $7.00 commission.

I was originally hoping for the maximum discount of a $5.00 commission charge. This can be achieved if the required volume is generated. The best deal I could negotiate initially was $5.50 commission.

My belief is that this is still the best deal available currently for the Axi Pro ECN account.

There are no rebates paid with this offer. Your 'rebate' is already paid to you in the form of a discounted commission charge of $5.50.  Think of it as a normal $7.00 commission charge with a rebate of $1.50 that is credited to you immediately instead of being rebated to you the following month. The advantages of this are obvious  ;)

3- Any accounts you already have with Axi will of course remain unchanged.
To receive the HFT Group offer you would need to open a new account via our group IB link. You could of course open a new account through the group link and transfer the funds in your existing account over to your HFT Group if you choose.

I hope I have answered your questions and clarified the deal.

Hi Jonpearce,

I just got a reply from a IB for Axitrader.
He is offering a AUS$1.6 rebate for Pro ECN account
That will mean that the commission is about $7.00 - $1.60 =$5.40

I did not bargain with them yet so this should be their standard offer.
Maybe you can speak to the Axitrader to see if the deal can be better?

Regards

Hi JamesFX,
Wow.....that is certainly a great offer from an IB.
Would you mind sending me a pm with the details so I can check it out? I have sent you a pm also in case you miss my reply on here.

Of course should this $1.60 rebate be correct it will come as just that, a rebate paid to you the following month.

The HFT Group 'rebate' is applied immediately, in the form of a discounted commission charge of $5.50.

Still, definitely a very generous rebate given the best I could find was $0.90.....and that came from a very well known and respected IB, renowned for giving generous rebates for members of this forum.

I hope to hear from you soon JamesFX so i can contact the IB you mentioned and confrirm their offer.

Jon,
I have even a better rebate from another IB.
$3.50 per lot on Axi Trader accounts including Pro ECN.
This makes the cost $3.50 per lot, much better than what we have at the moment.

Wow ea_fan's deal is even better!!!

Anyway for comparison, the IB i checked with is Fx Rebate Central. I got the AUD$1.60 offer in a email reply as the Pro ECN account rebate is not advertised.
They seem to pay direct to the trading account also.

The IB is Refund FX or www.gotmoneyfx.com.au.

Hi EA Fan,

I just can't believe this is true.  Can you confirm it from your own trading?

If they give $3.50 back per lot then they must receive at least $4 per lot from Axi to make it worth their while.  So Axi would only receive $3 per lot themselves for all the work!

What kind of company gives away more than half it's income just to attract more customers?  What kind of business model is that?  What's the point?

I mean, Axi would be far better off if they gave no rebates at all, and lost half their customers!

Someone somewhere has got it wrong.
