Indicators are to show you what market is showing this time .All indicators are not wrong. You have to select according to your trading needs and do a lot of practice with it that how it can be helpful for you . I find 2 or 3 indicators very effective in my trading.

The broker I'm using is offering variety of indicators and to be honest they are not bad. I didn't add any additional ones. Except the standard ones I like Chart in Chart and Donchian

Well, never forget that they do not show you what is happening or what will happen but what happened.

I think that question about indicators usefulness is very wide. It all depends on your strategy and what exactly do you need from market data and what works for you. Considering that majority of them are based on statistics I like to keep it simple. Mostly rely on standard trend S/R and RSI

For EA only idea and coding knowledge are required, while for indicators.. I don't know what knowledge do you need to have to interpret data which tells you about the past. Any knowledge would be useless.

Just wondering what you guys can tell me about indicators. I've been using Pure Price Action for the past year or so and it's been wonderful, but what makes indicators useful? I never really grasped the use of them because I prefer simplicity over a messy chart.

Anyways, thoughts?
keep on doing pricw action

Every piece of algorithmic software know as indicators, robots, EA is designated for introduce the feature of automation in your trading. For example you can find in my Hotforex terminal a host of indicators, oscillators which are in combination give a go to my trades. Some indi's look for a pattern and enter when they catch situation, others use divergence principle - when price has profound deviation from its normal flow can be considered as signal for entry (as price is characterized with wave movement and deep deviation is the highest or lowest point of waves). You may go without indicators and use price action technique but no trader is wise at all times..
