It usually takes 150 years to learn this business mate ! Hah joking, with each person is different, depending on two things mainly:
1. How much free time you have, and how much of that time you can dedicate to learning.
2. (And this is not entirely depending on you) How fast can you learn. Because some people understand and remember information faster than others.

There is no approximate time in which you can learn, it can be in 6 years or in 5 months, it will all depend on how you can make a correct analysis of the market through an overview, this will take time and many failures because it is not something simple and there is no secret or trick to perform operations, it is all based on ones own effort to evaluate and calculate the risk of certain operations, Similarly intelligence to determine the exact time to make an investment.

The fact is that most people will never be profitable. Probability of that happening is maybe 15% at best. People think that if they put in enough time, they will eventually start making money but thats of course very wrong. Saying that it will take years to learn how to trade may be true but its more likely that even after all that time you will not be successful.

SJWkiller, I dont know why are you so pessimistic. Whether you will be profitable or not is personal decision of every trader. If you look for profits than you really need to work hard. If you want to gamble on forex, then you should be happy if you end up only with some losses

I find that trading is a skill. It is true that learning forex takes a lot of time but if you have a goal in front of you and you are dedicated to achieve it, then you will certainly find a way to profitability

Yeah, spread and swap sometimes become my problem, because if having long term trading plan, swap fee will deducted account  balance and this reduced profit or loss too, but now there are some broker offer free swap account
