What an impressive rebound of this EA, clearly a winner vs Momentum H1 EA..

Hardly impressive - still in the negative since its August peak. Good for someone with no living expenses.

Lol, a good one; a good laugh, pipsbuster.  ;)

It hit some good spikes in the EUR but that could just be a "burp" in its long history.

Another multi-month period of stagnation to follow, IMO.

Living expenses or not, if a program that has gained over 400% in two years isn't enough to supplement them, I'm not sure picking the right EA would be one's problem in such a case.

Hopefully breakouts are back for a while. We'll have to see if markets start moving a bit more than they have been over the past few months. In this case, SFE made back a significant portion of its losses back so if you're right and there's more stagnation ahead, then just more doldrums are to follow. If this is the start of greater activity however, SFE and other simmilar systems could stand to throw up some handsome gains in the next month or two.

Just have to see what Mr Market has to say about it.

Seems SFE had a good day and continues into today with some positive floating equity. The vendor's account is finally approaching last August's equity high but still hasn't made it.

From the time I posted this thread (about 6 1/2 months ago) The vendor's account has seen a modest 5% gain or so.

I've done a little better thanks to some intervention in some trades and running on medium risk which kicks the lot sizes up by 20%. The vendor's account is running on low risk.

And shablam! SFE gave all those gains back today and pretty quickly at that. Ah well...continuing on.

SFE has been dealing well with some major market moves again and it once again is approaching a new equity high. So we'll see if it achieves that or not today off the back of the FOMC news. Looking good right now but SFE has a bad habit of swinging back to give gains back to the market sometimes.

Rather than spam more content, I'll just edit this post to update later. This is still one of my personal favourite EAs in the public market.

EDIT: Seems to be settling in to about 4% gain for the week thanks to FOMC.

Looks like we came out ahead with a couple of hangers on, but we still haven't broken previous equity highs on the vendor's account.

Are you running your private impulse strategy or did you keep it turned off?

Yes the account is still going strong and my Personal account is nearly back to equity high despite some bad losses by SteadyCapture recently (which I stopped copying in March): https://www.myfxbook.com/members/jimmy8378/jimmys-personal-account/1688652

If you filter by magic numbers, you can see SFE Price Action has just recently made a new high as others have pointed out:

The other unsung hero is SFE Night Scalper which has also made nearly $30K for me since the beginning:

You can confirm these stats at www.fxblue.com/users/ccjhuang - the magic number for SFE PA is between 400051-450601, and the magic number for SFE NS is 138420.

In the meantime all those people who gave up on SFE PA during the DD missed out on the recovery...and I hope they havent been burnt by other high risk strategies that are doomed to fail - and many of them have in the last 6 months...
