everything here is pretty irrelevant - you set your account up to trade and it dropped 60% and was lucky eurusd continued up to recoup - otherwise it would have been 100% loss in one day

you should stop marketing and just let the results speak for themselves - it is not fair to the average person coming here who does not understand what it all means - the numbers are really hidden and the risk is out of proportion

I think everyone is happy that you made out - no question -- but the constant talking up of the EA is just getting too much.

Well I just want to share my experience here and let people know that it is possible to make money in Forex in the long term, but they need a system that works in the long term and it's also important to have the right mindset.

Unfortunately most people who trade Forex fall for systems that have nice looking growth graphs but don't actually have long term edge over the market, and they will all eventually blow up at some point.

I have always admitted that I use very high risk, but the difference is I have the patience to wait for the right time to increase the risk. Last week was a bit scary but I hope people can see how robust the system is at accepting losses and catching a reversal, and it's not just a hold and pray system like so many other failed systems.

This week should actually be a good week for the SFE EAs and I do believe the results will speak for themselves. :)

Maybe you find me a bit annoying, but I really just want to help people stop losing money at Forex...maybe I will just post a summary here once a week from now on. ::)

my opinion is just one - but you keep repeating yourself over and over and now your posting every little thing about these systems all the time -- more like marketing than actual facts.

the thing is if you came into this thread and said - look if you run the same risk as me you can lose 60% of your account in a couple of hours --- how many people would really be interested in that --- that is why posting all the performance stats is just becoming irrelevant -- and is now bordering on misleading.

anyway I hope you can take this on board ,, best of luck.

I did tell people clearly that if they want to copy my account, they should only copy my account with no more than a 0.20x risk multiplier. :-[

Anyway I will shut up now. :-X

Hi Jimmy, you have definitely done incredibly well with these EAs so congrats again.

Seeing your results and those of Joel the vendor (official account here: https://www.myfxbook.com/members/atractor/sfe-price-action/1331484) contributed heavily to me buying SFE Price Action.  I fall into the camp that you describe as 'impatient' as I gave up on this after losses / stagnation.

You could argue that I started it at the wrong time - right at a new equity high, but ever since then it hasn't done very much if you look at the official account link above.

I do look forward to seeing your weekly stats and the wild profits that you seem to pull out of the bag, but the way you trade it is so different to the out-of-the-box set-and-forget way that I expect the master account is trading and how other users would do it.

I'll turn it on again at the next equity high - the complete opposite of what you are advocating.  That's probably exactly where I am going wrong!

Yes with this EA I believe you should increase the risk when it's in DD and reduce the risk when it close to or at equity high. That's because based on statistics and probability, when it makes a lot of gains in a short period of time, it is inevitable that it will lose back some of the gains and return to its long term expected value before it makes more gains again.

So I believe you really should turn on SFE PA now until it makes another new equity high, then turn it off or reduce the risk. :)

PS. I don't think you will see too much more wild gains from now on, because I have now reduced the risk on my account from about 4-5x recommended risk to about 1.5x recommended risk. The ECB day last week gave me an instant DD of 50% and while I did expect something like that could happen, I think it's still better to play it safe as I now have a decent sized account going forward. If my account can just make 100-200% per year going forward, that would still be a nice extra $100-200K annual income to have! :)

+$4872.33

SFE Price Action: (https://www.fxblue.com/users/jimmy8378/stats?magic=400051-450601#week)
-$1188.75

SFE Attractor: (https://www.fxblue.com/users/jimmy8378/stats?magic=510051-510605#week)

-$474.38

SFE EURUSD: (https://www.fxblue.com/users/jimmy8378/stats?magic=800051-860602#week)
+$674.20

Most of the gains this week came from the floating profits from last week. The rest of the week, including FOMC and other high impact news, didn't give us much price movements at all which was rather disappointing. :(

I think we will just need to be patient and wait for the next big moves in the market - which I believe will happen at some point as we get closer to the Brexit deadline at the end of October. :)

Announcements this week:
  • The risk on my account has now been reduced to about 1.5x recommended risk with the following lot sizes. It will now be safe for subscribers to copy my account at 1x risk multiplier and expect a max DD of no more than 50% going forward:
    • SFE Price Action - 0.6 Fixed Lot per trade
    • SFE Attractor - 0.6 Fixed Lot per trade
    • SFE EURUSD - 1.0 Fixed Lot per trade
    • SFE Night Scalper - 0.9 Fixed Lot per trade
  • There is now a new option to copy my account with the AutoFxPro Remote Trade Copier - at a cheaper price too! ;)
    (details in the post below)
  • SFE Combo is now ranked #2 on Signal Start! 8)

Hi Guys,

I have recently tested out this Remote Trade Copier from AutoFxPro which works very well, so I have purchased the full version and now I am offering this trade copier as another option for those who are interested.

The main advantage of using this copier is we can cut out the commissions charged by other trade copying websites, and the subscription will be cheaper.

There will be 2 subscription options:
The discount for the quarterly subscription is to encourage people to stick to the system for at least 3 months, because there will be periods where there may be little growth, but patience definitely will pay off!

Other nice features about this trade copier:
  • if your trading account is not in AUD, the trade copier automatically adjusts the new lot size to your base currency to keep the risk of each trade the same as the master account (and then multiplied by your risk multiplier)
  • it copies pending orders as well, and that will help reduce slippage (for example, when copying through MQL5, pending stop orders are not copied, and if the market is moving very fast when the pending orders are triggered on the master account, the slippage can be significant by the time it is copied to the follower's account)
  • you can use a risk multiplier of more than 1, which is not allowed on some of the trade copying websites
  • you can filter out pairs and types of orders you want or do not want to copy
  • you can set your own equity stop
  • you can even copy inverted trades (ie. buy becomes sell and vice versa), if you believe a drawdown is coming! ;D

So just to reiterate, my AU$100K account is now running the following lot sizes, which is at about 1.5x recommended risk:

SFE Price Action - 0.6 Fixed Lot per trade
SFE Attractor - 0.6 Fixed Lot per trade
SFE EURUSD - 1.0 Fixed Lot per trade
SFE Night Scalper - 0.9 Fixed Lot per trade

and with this setting, I believe the maximal expected DD will be less than 50% on my account going forward. So please bear that in mind when you set the risk multiplier for your own account! :)

I have attached the Receiver EA and setup manual for those who are interested to try it out. You can attach and set up the Receiver EA on your MT4 terminal first and have a feel of its interface.

Once you decide to subscribe, please use the links above and send me a note with your account number when you make the first payment. I will then add your account number to my receiver list, and send you my master account number to be added to your provider list. Then the trade copier will be all set and ready to go! ;)

Weekly Result - 23rd Sep 2019 to 27th Sep 2019

SFE EURUSD: (https://www.fxblue.com/users/jimmy8378/stats?magic=800051-860602#week)
-$920.36

It was a boring week without much price action. As a result we can see all the price action based EAs had small losses while SFE Night Scalper had a small gain.

Let's see if the NFP next Friday and the lead up to it will give us some nice price actions. :)

Announcements this week:
  • SFE Night Scalper has been upgraded to version 5.1
  • The Signal Start ranking has dropped from #2 to #41 after I reduced the risk last week. I think with their ranking formula it's simply impossible to keep the ranking up in the long term, unless you use some crazy risks to bump up your gains and then just stop trading ???

It was an up and down week this week. I lost about 2.5% on the last day of September on Monday, and then gained about 7% from the RBA rate decision on Tuesday, and the Gold trades dragged my account back down again over the last few days. NFP unfortunately was another dud...

It was unfortunate that Gold had too many false breakouts this week and I lost $7.7K on Gold alone.

Below is my stats on Gold:

As you can see, in the long term I have made over $60K with Gold so I believe the loss will eventually be recovered. We just need to be patient for the right moment to come. :)

Next week we have the release of FOMC Minutes. Let's see if it will generate a bit more price action than the Statement itself in September. ::)

This week was rather quiet until the last 2 trading days when the GBP jumped on some optimistic news. We ended the week with a small gain and I believe there will be more gains to come as Brexit (whether deal or no deal) finally happens.

I have purchased SFE Stealth and added it to the SFE Combo portfolio. I am running it at 1.50 Fixed Lot per trade which equals to trading 0.01 lot per $300 on a $45000 account (ie. I am assigning 45% of my $100K account to this EA). The risk is probably slightly on the high end (not to mention my account is in AUD which also adds about another 50% risk), but I believe it will work out well. It has already made back about $900 for me out of the $1250 I paid for it! ;D

If any of you are interested in buying it, please do so over the weekend otherwise the price will go back to $1500 on Monday. ;)

This week's announcements:
  • SFE Night Scalper has been updated to version 6.0, running at 0.90 Fixed Lot per trade
  • SFE Stealth has been added to the SFE Combo account, running at 1.50 Fixed Lot per trade

Have a nice weekend! :D

This week was a bloodbath!...while GU made a lot of gains this week, there was too much retracement after each spike and the EAs were not able to capitalise on the price actions. SFE Attractor was the biggest loser and lost about $7K. :(

Big volatility is expected early next week and Joel has made an announcement that he will disable the GBP, EUR, CHF and USD pairs in SFE Night Scalper and SFE Stealth (https://smartforexexpert.com/index.php?topic=545.msg850). This will apply to my account as well.

The other thing is, from next week I am going to increase the lot size on SFE EURUSD to 1.2 Fixed Lot per trade, and the lot sizes on SFE Price Action and SFE Attractor to 0.7 Fixed Lot per trade. The DD on the official SFE EU account is now approaching 30% and it has been losing 9 straight months in a row. This is simply not going to continue forever, and I believe a massive gain on SFE EU is imminent. I am also increasing the risk on SFE PA and SFE ATR by 16% (lot size increase from 0.6 to 0.7) as I also believe they will rebound strongly after the recent losses. I believe a firm, clean, one-way breakout will eventually happen once there is a final Brexit outcome, and that SFE PA, SFE ATR and SFE EU should all make good gains from it. Let's see if things turn out as I planned.

Have a nice weekend! ;)

Finally, a nice recovery this week with some floating profit going into the weekend. :)

SFE Stealth - still giving steady profits. (I think it could be renamed to SFE Steady! :D)

SFE Price Action had a small loss for this week, while SFE Attractor managed to make a nice comeback with the price actions later in the week.

SFE EURUSD - good to see it finally have a positive week, after 4 straight weeks of losses prior.

SFE Night Scalper - a small loss for the week.

It seems like Brexit is going to be postponed again, but we still have a lot of high impact news next week - especially just before the month ends on 31st October:

I am certainly looking forward to the volatility next week. :)

And you never know, maybe BoJo could still pull something out to force a hard Brexit next week!...;D

This week's announcements:
  • After the release of new versions for SFE Price Action and SFE Attractor (which now have lower DD on backtests), I will be running 1.0 Fixed Lot per trade for all the EAs going forward

This week went very well as I expected. FOMC was the main event that gave us most of the gains.

SFE Attractor was the biggest winner with nearly $9K gain, and SFE PA finished the week with $2K gain.

SFE Stealth had another week of steady gain with $810 for the week.

SFE EU also made a modest gain of $571, and SFE NS had a relatively quiet week and ended the week at about break-even.

My account is now nearly back to equity high with the DD being only 2.57% from the peak. It will be very soon before we make a new equity high. :)

Going forward, I am planning to increase the lot size on my account by 0.1 lot for every $10K increase on my account (ie. the lot size will be increased to 1.1 Fixed Lot for all EAs once my account reaches $110K, 1.2 Fixed Lot when my account reaches $120K, and so on). In this way, I will be able to take advantage of exponential gains while keeping my expected max DD to around 50%.

If things go well I expect to make 200-300% gain in a year (assuming an average of 10% gain per month, with exponential growth you will get 1.1^12 = 3.14 times the initial deposit). Let's see if things go according to my plan over the next 12 months. :)

Hello,

Thanks for your weekly updates, I am following your logs for a while and I am thinking to make my own combo account with SFE EA's. I own SFE Price action and bought Stealth too, could you advise me wich SFE EA is to be recommended as third addition to my combo account?

Thanks and wish you will reach the next 12 month goal!
