spread on euraud around 3 at icmarket ,perhaps too high

gbpchf is more around 2 witch might  fit better

ya right but trying to scalp uncorelated pairs with low spread is quite a challenge

the answer is to just pick the best 1 or 2 -- so losses are controlled and profits can grind away ... too many and any small blip will be very painful .. anyway Im out for today -- check next week.

I tried alot of different things - the most profitable testing I get is GBPCAD it is right 85-90% of the time .. lowest DD of any.

really this comes down to spread - it is going to require the absolute best spread to really make it work in this pair.

anyone else see it differently ?

EURAUD is another one that shows a tonne of potential but it could take me hours to figure something out and I don't have time today to do that.... maybe WS if your not busy you could check that out -- (I have eye surgery in 2 hours so simply no time today)

Yes, GBPCAD is best - it should be profitable if the spread is below 6-7 pips as average.

I run all suggested pairs with your set file. There were only two trades of GU yesterday.
I have run the ea in both IC Markets and Pepperstone for comparison.
It seems that ICM is better than Pepperstone. Please refer to attached image.

that means I need to add a zero to your set file, right?

TakeProfit=25 become TakeProfit=250 for 5 digit broker, right?

No, you do not have to recalculate this - 25 pips is 25 pips - the EA takes in consideration the digits of the broker's quotes. So, if you put 25 pips the EA will recalculate it to 250 five digit pips. I hope it is clear enough.

Thank you, FXautomater. Could you give us a new version where the logic is reversed? Namely, entry when the price moves outside the band and exit when the price again crosses the same BB line? It would no longer need to be an Asian robot, but would work in any market. Best regards,  Glenn

Here you go. Please, bear in mind that creating a decent breakout strategy is difficult, so you should not expect good results. My best breakout EA is Forex Trend Detector and it is so filtered that you have very low trading activity. Just, reliable enough breakout signals with good follow-up happens several times a month.

You would need a time filter to avoid Asian hours because once the market flattens you need the original strategy once again. If only Forex were easy but if it was then everyone could quit there jobs and we would have empty shelves in the stores and nobody to fix our cars and sell us gadgets.

There is a time filter - you can try to make it work. I know very well how hard the trading is - in reality I know this better than 99,99 % of the traders, because I've tested things you cannot imagine and I know how hard this thing is. Actually I will be surprised if there is a living person who have tested more trading ideas.
