Signal Start
« on: March 05, 2019, 03:30:31 PM »
Interesting system on Signal Start  - Preferredfx - yes it is a grid /marti trader BUT no individual trade loss is greater than 1% and although open trades can each 30+ open DD rarely exceeds 2-3% with an average 1% return per day. It appears he closes open trades basket when DD reaches 15% with max DD at around 22% ( with half the current account balance) and monthly returns @ 25%+. Way too early to jump in at this stage but the fact that the trader has put in approx 5K real AUD$ and is using a reputable broker is a good sign...

Another one to keep an eye on is Positive Profits - love the simplicity of this one - top and bottom range trader using price action - a lot of patience required and would like to see a bigger investment from the provider:

A nice single trade, low risk ( losses approx 1.5%), same day, high PF, PA-based system on SS - once you filter through the dross one or two promising systems emerge:

I thought I'd give it a go but keep on receiving "General error" message when I try to subscribe. Signalstart support is slow being available only via email.

I got the same - they said they would remove it to avoid future confusion but obviously haven't - very frustrating! It appears the trader just wants to build a track record.

Latest SS subs:

tinge123  - no trades and subs refunded - OK I know this track record was probably way too good to be true, but worth a go even though the trader's broker has one of the worst online reviews and subs quickly went from 50 to over 200 USD in a week.

FRZ News Trader - no trades - and yet to request a refund - OK news trading is tricky but as this one uses pending orders, so I thought at least I stood a chance! Spread filter set to 3 pips should have been enough as my brokers spreads are usually a fraction of this. They also use MQL5 with zero subscribers to date..lesson to always check other sites to see if they have paying followers first!

I can't find Preferred FX on Signal Start.  Any idea what happened?

Looks like Positive Profits took a 2865 pip loss. (51% of account).  Wonder what stoploss they use?

I don't know why I keep going back to SS as I always end up cancelling the sub after a few fruitless weeks/months - there are a LOT of dubious/fake/scam/grid marti systems there, not necessarily the fault of the website as they are simply there to provide a copying service; but because they do little if any system vetting, therefore you can get away with posting any dubious system, however risky  - many attached to unregulated brokers surprise surprise!

SS must make a lot from system churners..new to forex who are not as aware of the pitfalls and risks associated with some of these systems.

I have received two refunds for systems which didn't trade after subs taken out, one of which quadrupled its fee in a week!! Be warned;)

Please note previous post....many systems simply disappear for no reason...other than that they were fake...

Yes PP isn't what I was expecting - betting far too much $$ per trade for such a longer-term swing system..

Without some sort of subscriber system feedback/review service, you are taking a walk in the dark with this site and simpletrader (very similar), which removed its review facility, presumably because it lost so much in lost subs!

A debt of gratitude is in order for the information.

I can't discover Preferred FX on Signal Start. Any thought what was the deal?

It would appear that Positive Profits assumed a 2865 pip misfortune. (51% of record). Miracle what stoploss they use?

Guys, don't discount SignalStart just yet. I honed my trading skills by copying a very good signal on there for over 12 months, that provided consistent profits month on month.

I have since setup my own signal, as I'm confident in my ability to generate decent profits with reasonable drawdown. I do use some martingale strategies, which I appreciate a lot of people are fearful of. However, I do monitor all trades daily and can intervene if and when necessary.

Have a look at my signal here and let me know what you think: https://www.signalstart.com/analysis/balanced-fx-portfolio/56995

I've setup Balanced FX Portfolios as a proper business, with a view to offering services over the long-term. This isn't just a one-off 'hope it works' kind of venture.

The website address is: http://www.balancedfxportfolios.com.

I trade the same strategies on my own personal account and have around 16k skin in the game overall, so I have incentive to perform for both myself and subscribers.

Cheers,

Dan.

Nearly a week in to my new venture and I'm currently finding it hard to get subscribers on SignalStart.

Promoting the service is the hardest part. The marketplace is saturated and trader's are understandably cautious about a signal with a relatively short track record. With that said, I have had a few enquiries via the website and social media, so it is not going completely unnoticed.

Obviously this is early days and I'm prepared for it to take some time, so I'll keep plugging away and building up my track record.

Can I ask forum members: In addition to SignalStart, what are people's favoured trade copy websites? SignalStart is my preferred option but I'm thinking I should setup on SimpleTrader next.

All feedback welcome. Subscribers, too.  ;)
