Apogeum Hedging [via mql5]
« on: May 10, 2019, 03:20:14 PM »
Apogeum Hedging is a fully automated, multi-currency Hedging system. The system is based on the principles of Price Action, which are a signal for opening trades. EA conducts multi-currency trading, opening a basket of deals along a trend for several currency pairs simultaneously (if there is a signal for each pair), and closing of deals occurs according to the total profit of the basket when the total average profit of transactions reaches the specified value. Usually a basket consists of 3-4 currency pairs.

Apogeum Hedging is a new approach to trade, aimed at obtaining more stable results in the medium and long term.

For example:

If the pair A has floating losses, and the pair B and C have a floating profit, which is totally greater than the losses of pair A, Apogeum Hedging closes the basket (all deals of pairs A, B and C) with the total profit. Based on this, the profit on pairs B and C covers the losses of pair A. Thus, the pairs hedge each other. At the same time, users receive only total profits, since unprofitable transactions are closed in baskets with profitable transactions, which level the amount of losses, except for cases when baskets are closed by Max Drawdown.

Unlike other EA, Apogeum Hedging has more stable results regardless of market conditions. For now system is optimized to work at 4 baskets: AUD, CAD, EUR and NZD.

Unfortunately, Metatrader4 don't support multi-currency Strategy Tester, so I have maken all backtests and optimizations with the MT5. All backtests are available at atachments. Here are portfolio since 2008 year:

Apogeum Hedging - Is a non-standard approach to Price Action. System is based at hedging and chaos theory:The trend of one currency pair does not have to continue, but the general trend for several currency pairs (baskets) has a greater chance to continue due to market chaos, thus the losses of one pair are covered by the profits of others. This minimizes the probability of a drawdown and increases the chance of winning.

The system is fully developed on the principles of Price Action, and trading is conducted only by the trend. The system does not use martingale, which makes it safer than most others, and also uses Stop Loss.

Apogeum Hedging is a trend system, which have been designed by Price Action principles. After 5 month at live system have very good results and stable perfomance. As you can see, most important is a high Profit Factor and Expectency. The main problem of a system is a backtesting, because MT4 doesn't support multicurrency testing.

Max DD 20% is a bug of Myfxbook. Really Max DD was 12% and you can check it at MQL5 signals:

ivan,

i wrote you but you misunderstood me.

your own posted backtest results for the month march and april of 2019, so this year do not match your forward demo account.

your bt results were negative for these 2 months, yet your demo did well in these 2 months.

so how can you trust your backtest if they are so wrong ??????

Backtests are for Version 1.2. At the Demo were some trades, for example, EURCAD, which have been opened by the first version of EA, so there were some differents ;)
