Scam Decompiler Vendors
« on: November 22, 2019, 04:11:47 PM »
Whilst waiting for some help from Donna (see other thread) I found myself embarking upon a personal investiagtion / exploration into MT4 decompilation.  Well, what a murky and scammer-filled aea this seems to be (setting aside the legality / moral aspects)....

I found several 'vendors' eager to take payments, most of which via Bitcoin making them difficult to trace but when put to the test they all failed.

Every one of the following said they could decompile a test file of mine and asked for payment.  When probed a little further, none of them were able to provide a simple / specific excerpt line of source code back to me that was in the EX4 but insisted they were able to decompile my file.  When queried further, they stop replying, or get a little agitato :-

1. https://webdesignlasvegas.pro/software-products/ | email: sean@webdesignlasvegas.pro | See additional scam alerts at https://www.trustpilot.com/review/webdesignlasvegas.pro

2. www.mq4download.online | email: ex4@mq4download.online | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83gaOiKvUl0|

3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8Jk-Pu-qFY | email: info@metadecrypt.me

4. ex4-to-mq4-decompiler.com | email: eadecompiler@gmail.com, admin@ex4-to-mq4-decompiler.com | https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7SMHQKPOv_E

A couple of the websites have already been removed.

You have been warned - I don't know that there is anyone that is really able to decompile more recent versions of MQL4, but plenty willing to take your cash.

So you actually tried to trick and hack someone's software and complain that they tricked you?  ??? ::)
How sweet  :)

No, that is not what I did, or what my note was designed to convey.  The above is meant to stop anyone paying for a decompiler that does not exist.  I did not pay anyone or try to trick anyone; just prove whether they were scammers.

Hello, Ruairi OPleurisy,

Thanks for this honest post and list, it would have really helped me if you had posted it some few weeks back. I have tested about 6 services offering decompilation, 3 were not able to do the job 2 of this services were wrong source codes while only 1 did the job perfectly well (note that this is my own hand coded forex indicator just to test the services out) Those who offered cheap fees did terrible job with lots of compilation errors.

But this particular one that works is the number 1 listed on your scam list. webdesignlasvegas pro , they actually offered $500 to do the job for me  and it well payed off. I paid and got my delivery in less than 1 week.. Currently i have bought their decompiler software of $9,250 and it is working for me.

I'm actually wondering why you posted them as scam here, It is lame to call a service scam just from a conversation of you requesting a free test from them. I actually requested a free test from them first and they responded that they do no offer free test and i should try someone else.

Honestly guys, do not be deceived or fooled by those offering decompilation services. Majority cannot do the job and only want to outsource it.

Best Regards,
Meghan from Switzerland.

I'm a seasoned MT4/5 Developer with over 35 copyright EA and Indicator under my portfolio.
If you want to hire me to program for you. Feel free to message me here.

Hi, I'm not sure that I am reading that correctly - did they offer you $500, or you paid them $500 and then paid them again another $9,250 on top for full decompiler software?

I can see they now link out to this new site: https://forexdll.com/ to sell their services (scam or otherwise).  Freshly created on Nov 24th :

Domain: forexdll.com
Registrar: NameCheap, Inc.
Registered On: 2019-11-24

I'm glad you were able to get what you needed, if you are not actually the website owner!  Apologies - it is your first post here after all hence my healthy scepticism :)
