Since i have this strong urge to destroy my money "myself" and not by a robot, i ordered ProFx today. Results will be posted on my webpage.

No pain- no gain.

Salvador, - 100 pips today on the gbp ?   then you would have had at least 2 attempts for your 100 pip goal,  I just bought this system and I really think that I am going to like this,  signals seems great and also re-entry signals looks good,  so I honestly think this is a great system.

just one attempt.. i wasn't present when the signals changed... when i got home the signals were already green again so i kept myself on the trade and then it got it the TP

it seems to me the best time to put orders is around 630 GMT

Does ProFx throw up many signals that are NOT profitable?

Is it easy to pick the profitable signals?

Does anyone know if anyone has created a working  EA to follow this strategy? Meaning one that does not miss trades and gets in and out of trades when it is supposed to.

...........Is it easy to pick the profitable signals?

The whole point of a mechanical trading system is that it gives you the entry and exit signals.  You cannot pick and choose the signals you take, unless you have some well developed measure to guide your discretion.  Some people can probably do this, but when I try my bad psychology comes into play.

I have bought and tried ProFx, Forex Day Monster, Sniper Forex (the one from Gary Pavlovich), and a thing called Pallada.

These are all manual trend following systems which use a selection of indicators.  They no doubt have validity, but none of them have really suited me, the problem being that they need constant watching and the signals occur at any time of the day or night.  They also produce many situations where a set up appears to be forming, but then comes to nothing, or even subsequently indicates a reverse position.  Personally I can't trade them, that's me.

Whereas I know "the trend is your friend", I find break-outs much easier to trade as you can usually just set pending orders and then stay cool and get on with all the other things that make a life.
Without dupes there would be no scammers.

Right.

With my limited experience so far, they help me seeing trends and patterns i probably would have missed out on otherwise, but they do give faulty (optimistic) triggers sometimes. However, i still like the concept of having the software alerting me of a potential good move, then i make up my own mind about entering or staying away from the trade.

I guess with more experience, you wouldn't be needing these indicators, but for now i take them on as a part of my learning curve. And being a complete newbie, i tend to move away from fully automated EA's towards these indicating systems. It makes me feel like i'm more "a part" of the process instead of just sitting there watching...

Just my 5 cents...

Yes I've traded only yesterday, since last time and got 100 pips after entering at the open... the other days  I wasn't able to follow the signals

July
20 +100 pips GBP/USD
21 +100 pips GBP/USD
22 +10 pips  GBP/USD
23 +100 pips GBP/USD
29 +100 pips GBP/USD

410 pips so far?

That's a great achievement!

I own ProFx but have not had time to test it.

What pairs and Timeframes are you using?

GBPUSD on 30 min as it's said in the manual... I havent traded this week since i'm getting ready for vacation and won't  do any updates for 2-3 weeks... but from the looks of it, and the trend of last few days i'd say some good trades would've triggered... and no doubt today you'd get 100 pips since it sky rocketed
Salvador:
On the average, how long did your trades remain open before you get 100 pips?  This sounds like a good system.

Hey

I will start demoing it starting next week... it seems promising... but I don't know.

The S/L you refer usually is within 50 pips distance... they refer you should use a swing high or swing low with a SL of 50-75 pips if more, skip the trade...

I like what I see I will make a purchase and give it a try. Let you know what happens.

First day I didn't get a full day of trading because I got the system a bit late.

Not bad I have one open trade up 36 pips on GBP/USD.

This appears to be a valid approach to this months rangy choppy markets, I couldn't find any reference on ProFX site regarding refunds if if it doesn't pan out. Not familiar with Plimus or their policies. Any idea regarding 30 day trial period?
